Belle’s gift

Belle is not a warrior–I know she is not going to take up a sword like Mulan, Emma, or Snow White, and nor does she have to. 🙂 I had at first thought that she was like Princess Abigail–not a fighter, but strong in personality. A woman that knew what she wanted, one firm and strong, even if not physically so.

In Fairytale Land she did make her chocie, but from there it goes downhill. She told Rumpelstiltskin off in The Crocodile, but she goes back to him after his confession–in a cute dating sort of way. True she loves him and I was happy for her, but it was a bit too quick, I thought. All she had wanted was the truth, and yet it did not seem to bother her that much when she learned how controlling he can be, and she still cannot truly hold her own.

Again, not expecting her to be a fighter, but I thought she would show more caution, but she hasn’t really. After being imprisoned and and kidnapped twice, she seems trusting and naive.
