Sadly, at the end of the episode, poor Belle lost her memory. Rumbelle fans everywhere are still mourning over that loss.
And then, I realized, remembering Belle’s reappearance in ‘A Land Without Magic,’ the curse might have created false memories. So, she could still have a Storybrooke counterpart before the curse was broken. She didn’t recognize Rumpelstiltskin because of the curse — false memories — so probably the next time we will see Belle, she will revert back to her mental arrest state where she had false memories because of the curse.
As sad and tragic as it is, I think that this will be good for rumbelle because they get a do-over. A clean start. I’m trying really hard to be optimistic here even though things look really bleak at that moment.
I have full confidence Belle will get her memories back. I’ll bet what it will take is Rumple earning her love all over again- as in order for true love to work, it has to go both ways. They demonstrated this in the episode when Snow White went dark. It’s going to be great to see the tender side of Rumple come out in full force. I’m actually excited to learn who Belle thought she was during the curse.
I just realized, If Hook gets better, he could use Belle’s condition as an excuse to poison her against Rumpel 🙁
How heartbreaking would it be if Belle calls Rumple a monster especially after all the times she’s told him that he isn’t one.
In her new memory less state, the first thing Belle saw Rumple do was about to send a fire ball at Hook with Hook telling Rumple to do his worst and Rumple’s reply of “I intend to”. Rumple is already at a disadvantage.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixMy only concern is that Hook or Cora will take advantage of Belle’s memory loss and use it against Rumpel. 🙁
I don’t think they will. Cora is too busy with her own agenda to take notice of Belle. Hook has already done enough damage and, as Emma pointed out, he’s a dead man if Rumple gets a hold of him so Hook is probably going to concentrate on staying alive and work out how to actually kill Rumple.
Making Belle forget Rumple and be terrified of him is cruel enough, to then make her hate him is just pouring salt onto the wound for both Rumple and the Rumbelle fans.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixI have another idea.
She was in a mental clinic, so maybe she thinks that she is a monster and Rumpel haveto tell her otherwise.
Something like, she had killed her boyfriend (Gaston)and her family lock her up.
Wouldn’t that be lovely, when Rumpel tell her that she is no Beast and help her like she is always trying to help him.
Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
that would be a very interesting twist.

MAYBE IT WILL BE A LOVE TRIANGLE…
BELLE, HOOK and Gold. …. Hook is better looking, swaggers and has enough gall to try to win Belle’s trust and love just to turn her against Gold.
Hmm, I’m not sure that I like that.
