ParticipantWhen Grand Pabbie solidified Belle’s missing memories, the stone he gave her looked like Rose Quartz.
There is a common mystical practice of using gemstones to provide healing energy, and each stone has different healing properties. Here are some of the properties and uses of Rose Quartz.
(There was an enormous amount of information at this site, I have only included the segments that seem relevant to Belle. And I have bolded the most relevant parts.)
First, many of the qualities of Rose Quartz seem to already be the perfect match to Belle herself! And then the other properties are perfect for what Belle was going through, at that particular time.
So this description of Rose Quartz alternately describes Belle, and her experiences, both in the past and the present!
Also, it just makes sense that rock trolls would offer up rock medicine for healing. 😀

The fair and lovely Rose Quartz, with its gentle pink essence, is a stone of the heart, a Crystal of Unconditional Love. It carries a soft feminine energy of compassion and peace, tenderness and healing, nourishment and comfort. It speaks directly to the Heart Chakra, dissolving emotional wounds, fears and resentments, and circulates a Divine loving energy throughout the entire aura. Reawakening the heart to its own innate love, it provides a deep sense of personal fulfillment and contentment, allowing one the capacity to truly give and receive love from others. [Raphaell, 82-85][Simmons, 331][Hall, 236]
Rose Quartz also inspires the love of beauty, in self and others, in nature, and especially that which stimulates the imagination – art, music and the written word. [Melody, 570]
Rose Quartz Uses and Purposes
Rose Quartz is a mothering crystal, inspiring nurturing of the self if one has lost their own mother. It promotes bonding and is a good stone to place on the stomach during pregnancy, and to take to the hospital to be near the baby during birth. It is also soothing in the days to follow. [Eason, 50] Placing baby milk or food within a circle of Rose Quartz for a few minutes helps ease colic or feeding difficulties. [Eason, 40]
Rose Quartz is a calming and reassuring crystal, excellent for use in trauma or crisis, including the emotional upheaval of mid-life crisis. It strengthens empathy, sensitivity, and aids in the acceptance of necessary change. It is also an excellent stone for comforting grief. [Hall, 236]
Rose Quartz Emotional Healing Energy
The soft pink emanations of Rose Quartz comforts and heals any wounds the heart has suffered, penetrating the inner chambers of the Heart Chakra where emotional experiences are recorded and stored. It dissolves the sorrows, worries, fears and resentments suppressing the heart’s ability to give and receive love, and replaces it with healing, comfort and inner nourishment. A deep sense of personal fulfillment and energy forms a new foundation where inner peace and contentment can become a personal reality. [Raphaell, 82-83]
Rose Quartz is also a stone for those unable to experience the joy of living because of never having had love given to them, possibly missing the love and nurturing as a child that is vital for the development of security and a positive self image. Rose Quartz is the healer for these internal wounds, erasing the primal imprints and reprogramming the heart to accept the infinite source of love that comes from within the self. Only after learning to give love to the self is it possible to truly love others. [Raphaell, 82-83, 85]
Rose Quartz Spiritual Energy
Rose Quartz is feminine in tone and one of the stones of the Great Mother. It not only activates the human Heart Chakra, it also links with the heart of the Earth and the heart of the Universe.
Its vibrations can penetrate down to the cellular level and reprogram cells for joy and longevity rather than despair and death. It encourages the dissolution of anger and resentment, fear and suspicion, and brings the Light of healing, the rebirth of hope and faith in the benevolence of the Universe. [Simmons, 331]
And notably, this:
Rose Quartz Divination
The Divinatory meaning of Rose Quartz: Forgive yourself for past mistakes and do not accept the blame others try to offload for their inadequacies. [Eason, 50]
😮
And this part does not relate to Belle, but made me think of Lily instead:
Rose Quartz Goddess Crystals
Rose Quartz honors Astarte, the Phoenician Goddess of Fertility, Love and War. She is known in many cultures by different names and is said to be the Queen of the Stars. She helps with troubled love, and keeps lovers faithful to each other.

ParticipantIt looked like an amethyst to me, the magic he sucked out of her mind was purple, and it made a purple stone, (I have an amethyst that looks just like it, only smaller).
http://www.crystalvaults.com/crystal-encyclopedia/amethyst
In today’s world, Amethyst is still a remarkable stone of spirituality and contentment, known for its metaphysical abilities to still the mind and inspire an enhanced meditative state. Its inherent high frequency purifies the aura of any negative energy or attachments, and creates a protective shield of Light around the body, allowing one to remain clear and centered while opening to spiritual direction. Amethyst stimulates the Third Eye, Crown and Etheric Chakras enhancing cognitive perception as well as accelerating the development of intuitive and psychic ability. It initiates wisdom and greater understanding, and is a stone of comfort for those grieving the loss of a loved one.

ParticipantAmethyst is a purple variety of quartz.
I looked at the tumbled versions of amethyst, rose quarts and the rock that Belle actually got and I think it may be a safe bet to assume it’s quartz of some kind.
BTW, I like you’re siggy, SFG 😛
