Just remembered something. There is a Book Of The Dark One isn’t there? That’s where the key to the dark one’s vault was. Assuming A) Its an actual book and B) wasn’t just a fake book created by Zelena and planted to trick Belle and Neal, then it might actually come into play (and it should) because it could probably help them learn how to defeat the darkness or transfer it out of a person.
