Anyone else think Blackbeard look a lot like Disney’s Hook (probably intentional)

How did Blackbeard get the JR?

After all, Hook was with the rest of the SB group when the reverse curse happened instead of being with his ship to make sure it had a safe passage back to FTL. Hook didn’t re-find her in time and Blackbeard took advantage of an “abandon” ship. Apparently he knew it was Hook’s ship though.

Hook seems to have a reputation for being a pirate in FTL, but this confuses me. Hook was mostly in NL. He was a pirate in FTL for a short amount of time before Milah died and he went to NL. And all that was about 300 yrs ago

Yeah, you’d think 300 years “gone missing” would dampen one’s reputation of being a fearless pirate. Also makes you wonder how BB found out about Hook’s good deeds in NL the 2nd time. Maybe BB was in SB.

I think Hook might have been in Pre-Cursed FTL after NVL longer than we suspected. Anyway, I have to say I actually did love the duel between Hook and Blackbeard. It felt more epic than the overhyped Wicked vs Evil showdown last week.

The dual was good.
And I loved the PP reference with the shadows on the sails.
