The Blue Fairy’s powers are limited, too….and it seems like people tend to go to Rumple first during his reign as the DO. Jiminy did, and the Blue Fairy couldn’t undo Rumple’s curse on Geppetto’s parents.

There is something about Blue Fairy that makes people doubt her. Nobody questions the motives of other good characters so why Blue Fairy?

Also Blue Fairy interfered between Nova and Dreamy. They were going to run off and sail away together, why didn’t Blue Fairy leave them be?

I think you answered your own question. Blue interfered with Nova and Dreamy’s love. Therefore she is not to be trusted.

Add into that the fact that she’s one of the more mysterious characters and one of the very few for whom we have no background story given. Even though we’ve seen no reason to not trust her, there’s still no reason to trust her.

Finally, she’s a nun. I’m sure there are many reading who have less-than-fond memories of schoolrooms and rulers. 🙂

I like the fan theory that Blue Fairy created the very first Dark One when she fell in love with a human. I forgot who posted that but it would explain her stance that fairies shouldn’t fall in love (because not only can the fairy not then help the pure hearted, but actual bad stuff could happen) but I don’t remember the details of the theory.

Blue Fairy gets so much attention in fan theories because she seems like she ought to be more powerful, connected and important than she has shown to be in terms of impact on the various events. Perhaps in the end she is more like a government official, lots of supposed power, but blocked by so many rules and regulations about how to use that power, that she ends up doing very little!

I think this theory too. I also like the one suggested by Phee which states (paraphrasing): the Dark One came about after the Blue Fairy tried to rid herself of the darkness inside her with a dagger.

Yeah, I feel like she should be able to do more than she does. Also, how did August know about Bae? So far the only connection between those two is Blue. Adam really blew a lot of theories out of the water when he said Blue didn’t have her memories in SB during the Curse Years.

I think this is exactly what’s going on in BF’s case.

    "We were happy."
"Because... it was born out of true love."
