Blue Fairy = Queen Clarion

As far as we’ve seen, Blue Fairy is the only fairy authority. In the Disney Fairy series, the fairy authority is known as Queen Clarion. She, obviously, is the Queen…of the Fairies >>

We could have reason to believe that the Disney Fairy Series could have given inspiration for Once to borrow for two reasons:

1.) We have seen Silvermist

Silvermist is a Water Fairy from the Disney Fairy series and she was seen on Wonderland.

2.) Pixie Hollow

In the Disney Fairies series, Pixie Hollow is where the fairies lie and where Pixie Dust is made. We saw this in Once, the Pixie Dust in t he trees soaking up the starlight.

Is it possible that Blue may play the role of Queen Clarion? Could she BE Queen Clarion? Taken her position, or maybe after it?

I’m not familiar with the Disney Fairies, so googled her…

Queen Clarion (who goes by the nickname “Queen Ree” in the books) is the queen of Pixie Hollow and the overseer of the four seasons. She has also lived longer than any other fairy or monarch of Pixie Hollow. − − Despite her great wisdom and power, Queen Clarion doesn’t seem to take her queenly royal station too seriously. She is a loving and approachable but can be firm when she has to be. It has also been said that she is mysterious. − − As ruler of Pixie Hollow, Queen Clarion sometimes mediates and helps to settle arguments. In the films, she has the task of making sure the preparations for the seasons are done in a timely manner (with the help of the Ministers of the Seasons). She also greets new arrivals at the Pixie Dust Tree, helps them find their innate magical talent, and gives them an appropriate name suited towards the talent guild that they are now a member of.

Some traits sound rather Blue-ish, but “doesn’t seem to take her queenly royal station too seriously,” sorta blows the theory for me, because Blue takes her position VERY seriously.

Clarion sounds like she could be that “Force Of Nature” character that’s been cast for WL.

Maybe Blue either wants her position? Took her position? Is her daughter? The fact that Blue is the “Original Power” makes her sound like she is the real Queen B in all of fairy town. As for the forces of nature person, I think thats Vidia. She’s an… Air fairy? Tornado Fairy? She makes winds and stuff v.v plus she was a real meany to TinkerBell in the movies

Overall thoughts on theory: maybe. But I’m not sure if this is something A and E would pull from. I don’t know how well known it is or how many people would understand it if they did bring it in. If she is this Queen Clarion, then they might make small references or hints that only those in the know would get, like you. Both Phee and I aren’t familiar with it, for example.

Disney Fairies has been around since 2008, longer if you count the books. They have meet and greets at Disneyworld, skating on Ice shows, and the movies and commercials come on Disney Channel all the time. It really is kind of big like other Disney cartoons nowadays. The fact that they used SilverMist means they are aware of it. I think its safe to say that while a few may not know of the series, its built up enough for a lot of Disney Fans to know of it. I’m not surprised if they use it.

My thing is if they do, then is Blue the Queen? Judging from what we have seen and heard about her, she is a big deal. Eternal and powerful, she must be more that a common fairy. If they use the characters from the movies, but just make Blue the queen with no explanation of Queen Clarion, then i will be disappointed. It could make for a good story

Aware of it, sure. A and E are probably aware of everything Disney does given that Disney gives them bags-o-money. My point about people not knowing is this; only a small handful of people will know *those* tales and that cartoon. They don’t reach very far outside the widely known box. Everyone knows the BF but only a small amount of people will know Clarion.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they use it, like they did with Silvermist, but I don’t know that they’d tie the BF, who is a fairy in her own right from the Pinocchio story, to another fairy, at least not explictily. They might say she is Queen of the Fairies and others in the know can associate her with this Queen Clarion without actually saying, oh yes she is Queen Clarion. Heck, maybe they’ll even give her the name Clare. But they don’t have to sit down and say, “yes she is Queen Clarion” Inside references are enough.
