I don’t question whether Blue is good or not. I feel as if that’s given. BUT I do feel that there is more to here than what we know.
While we’ve been led to believe that Rumple manipulated Regina into activating the curse, i think Blue MANIPULATED Rumple into doing that much.
Rumple found out about the curse from the Blue Fairy, and I refuse to believe that the Blue Fairy is so dumb that she just let something so devastating as the cuse slip to the Dark One. It had to be on purpose.
so the question is… WHY DID THE BLUE FAIRY WANT TO COME TO THIS WORLD?
I’m sure we’ll be anxiously awaiting Blue’s episode that will reveal her back story.
I tend to believe that she’s been helping August all this time, and that she kept her memories when the curse hit. It makes sense considering that Blue is regarded as the original source of magic (or something like that..). Blue is like the Jacob of OUAT (Lost reference), pulling all the strings behind the curtain.

So it is given that she is good, when she manipulated people into falling into evil/hell, to what ? sacrifice them in the name of good ? Thats contradictory I think…

What I like most about this show, and I think I might have mentioned this already, is that nobody is all evil or all good. Just like real life. So I think it’s a perfectly acceptable possibility that Blue manipulated Rumple to cast the curse. Were her intentions evil when she did that? Not necessarily, although I think it would be fun to see a character that’s always been considered completely pure and good turned on it’s head and suddenly being the villain. ๐ ๐
But if we were ever to find out that she actually planned all this to happen, I think it’s much more likely that she would have an honorable motive for doing it.

November 20, 2012 at 10:07 pm #161462rosihorrorParticipantI have nothing productive to add to this conversation, just that I’ve been watching past episodes and I find myself really not trusting the Blue Fairy ๐
Joking aside, she gives me a vibe, like she is not being completely honest, so all off you theorizing that she is evil might be on to something.
November 20, 2012 at 11:42 pm #161471evilqueenParticipantNever liked Blue Fairy at all. She seems all patronizing and everything. Sure, people don’t like being told they are wrong and they should do what really is right (ie. what Blue Fairy tells them to do) but there is something about her that doesn’t let me put her on the “Good people” list. Also, I didn’t like the way she treated Grumpy’s gf (whatever her name was…)
November 21, 2012 at 1:03 am #161480jj_onceParticipantYeah, Nova. She was just so cruel to her! “You can be a great fairy but you need to NOT be with your one true love in this land where that’s your one and only chance at happiness”. That sounds like a great plan, let’s do it! ๐
I think what makes me sort of not really trust her is that she’s TOO good, you know? Even Emma and Mary Margaret/Snow and Charming, which are the main “good” characters have a darker side. She’s too perfect, I mean, she’s even a NUN in Storybrooke! A head nun, or whatever it’s called. Come on! I don’t know, I just think nobody’s that good.
If she does turn out not to have an ulterior motive in all this, I’ll be really disappointed. I’d love to see this storyline, even if it turns out that her intentions were honorable. :geek:
November 21, 2012 at 5:47 pm #161559PriceofMagicParticipantI think Blue Fairy and the Dark one in general are somehow connected. Blue Fairy is the original power. Perhaps she was the original Dark one but found a way to curse someone else with being the Dark one. Zoso wasn’t enjoying being the Dark one and being the Dark one is a curse. If the Dark one was its own original entity then it would enjoy being it is what it is yet Zoso manipulated Rumple into killing him in order to pass on the Dark one curse because being the Dark one was a burden.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixNovember 21, 2012 at 11:30 pm #161630jj_onceParticipantMaybe they’re two sides of the same power? Or something that was once united but got separated somehow?
November 22, 2012 at 11:04 pm #161756Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI think the Blue Fairy has fallen victim to inconsistent writing. Sheโs depicted as being good and pure, and yet, you see her splitting up couples and making shady deals with Geppetto. I think the Blue Fairy is good, but in order to move the plot forward, the writers have placed her in uncomfortable situations. The same thing has happened to August. For the most part, heโs a good guy. Flawed, but good. A lot of people were hating on him for abandoning Emma in season 1, so in an effort to redeem him in the eyes of the audience, the writers go back and say that he was actually watching over Emma the whole time. The problem is that the way in which he was โhelpingโ Emma kind of destroyed her life. ๐ The writers were trying to make August look like Emmaโs guardian angel, but it came across as cruel and unfair.
