Bowl of Soup an OUAT kitchen discussion (read to understand)

I keep mispronouncing Once as Ounce so I have seen then started to picture the cast as various kitchen utensils which then escalated to food itself.

For the longest time I picture Snow White as sugar because of white and sweet sugar is. Then with her murdering Cora I pictured her as light brown sugar because of the little speck of molasses that she saw in her heart. Mind you, not perfect seeing as molasses is thoroughly mixed into regular sugar.

Then I thought of Cora as a hollow chocolate Easter bunny because well it’s hollow and Cora, too, was hallow being heartless and all.

Then there’s the bowl perfect for some soup. 😉

What kitchen items and food would you associate with the following cast?

I keep giggling at this. I definitely want to one day draw the cast as these things…

Oh and Rumple is an onion because he does not realize he can be a sweet onion and he is layered. 😉

For me in the video, I interpreted the onion and fake Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as the antagonist and minion of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. The onion wants to take over the world and taint the loves of all around him. He sees the power of the sweet candy love and cannot stand it. He wants to adoration, the power, and the attention that a sweet candy love brings. He wants the song to go onion, onion onion, crying crying crying. He wants to make others cry over lot ones the way he’s cried over lost ones and lost loves. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu shoots her sweet candy love gun to try and save and redeem the onion, whose minion was saved and redeemed, so that they can coexist and dance together. Hopefully the onion realizes he does have a sweet (onion) side. 🙂

With Rumple being the onion then Belle is the sweet candy who can show that he is a layered individual with a sweet side. However candy often comes with a coating that can have the candy forget who they are. For instance some candies I love are ones that are sweet on the inside and coated with chili. Currently Belle’s outer is Lacey, the chili side, but deep down resides the sweet candy that will come out soon the way that a chili coated candy gives way to its sweet side.

The same applies to Rumple. He’s a sweet onion who thinks that he’s only an onion but with a little grilling (being loved) he will see that he really was sweet and endearing deep down and that he does have a mushy side.

Gold – he has layers (not like an onion from Shrek) but something you can continually peel to discover even more layers.

I totally just went beyond into the deep end with Gold being an onion, and Belle being candy. 😆 I blame Kyary Pamyu Pamyu…

Oh wait, Emma can be the soup and Neal can be the bowl. Because if you want soup for a meal you have to begin with a bowl and end with the soup. 😛

I love Prince Charming as steak and potatoes.

Ruby as cherries is perfect because I can see making inappropriate cherry jokes to bug Granny. Strawberries because it’s not a fruit, so it can be savory and sweet which fits her sweet human self and er savory wolf side.

Granny is aged cheese. not sure what kind, but if you pair her with red wine — even better.

for Hook – vanilla & rum ice cream. if you know the origin of where vanilla got its name (I do because I took aesthetics class 😆 😆 ) you’ll understand why. and rum for obvious reasons. he’s a pirate.

Regina would have to be black pepper! Or perhaps red chile, since she sometimes wears red (I was tempted to say green chile since that is my favorite, but red and black seem to be Regina’s colors.)

If Neal is a bowl and Emma is soup, Henry could be crackers in the soup or perhaps a spoon.

Pinocchio must be a wooden spoon!

I thin Archie would be a measuring cup, since as a conscience he helps calibrate others.
