Now you’ve got me feeling…charming! Thanks!
[adrotate group="5"]April 14, 2012 at 9:47 pm #142254charmingParticipantI am wondering something about you….the wiz. You seem to know a lot and I am curious. I know the old adage curiosity killed the cat but that aside the whole Wizard of Oz theory, Art of War and other things you have said. Are you a college professor? of literature?
April 14, 2012 at 10:06 pm #142261the wizParticipantI’ve been a college instructor, yes, but not of literature. I’ve taught business strategy, creative problem solving and psychology. I was reading 2 books a week while I was teaching which broadened by knowledge far beyond what I ever learned from formal education.
Hopefully that cat has not been killed, but rather has a Cheshire grin. 😀
April 14, 2012 at 11:59 pm #142285charmingParticipantWow. Cool.
Now what is your opinion of Wonderland with respect with the curse?.
I think it is a prison world. Just by what was said. Two enter and so two must leave. I believe post curse depending on who you were, and how much of a threat you were, you were going to either Wonderland or Storybrooke? The big threats went to Wonderland where the Qeen of Hearts ruled in Regina’s stead like a Viceroy. If you were not so much of a threat Storybrooke was where you ended up where Mayor Regina ruled like a mini queen of a mini realm.
Plausible?April 15, 2012 at 12:37 am #142291the wizParticipantI’ll have to rewatch the Hat Trick episode to provide a better response. I was under the impression that the scenes we saw in Wonderland were entirely pre-curse, since Jefferson and Regina were there. I am also presuming that all FTL characters came to Storybrooke, including the Queen of Hearts.
April 15, 2012 at 2:17 am #142318hjbauParticipantI am pretty sure that all the scenes from fairytale land or from Wonderland are pre curse. It may be that Jefferson was pulled out of Wonderland into the real world with the curse because he was from fairytale land or it may be that everyone from all the other worlds were pulled into the real world by the curse.
April 15, 2012 at 2:22 am #142320hjbauParticipantAnd when i say fairytale land i do not mean all the other worlds besides the real world. I mean the Enchanted Forest is where all the characters have been from. Jefferson is from the Enchanted Forest as well. It seems like he lives in Regina’s kingdom. I think Wonderland is a separate world that does not exist in the same space as the Enchanted Forest.
I actually think that all the worlds may have been pulled into the real world by the curse, but that, of course, causes a where did all of those people go problem.

Yes, the where did the people go problem. It can be easily solved if we only knew how big Storybrooke actually is. This is Maine now. Most of it could be forest. That center of town could be one of several mini town centers that make up Storybrooke. My town five parts that make it up and that’s not including within the parts there are neighborhoods too.
Jefferson did draw a map he has a good idea of the size. Hat Trick. He shows Emma a map. If we can rewatch a pause and look maybe we can figure out at least a litltle bit if not all.
April 15, 2012 at 2:43 am #142328hjbauParticipantThe podcast people sort of stretched the map and mad a flat version.

Emma said they are a four hour drive from Boston which would be around the center of Maine.
April 15, 2012 at 2:44 am #142329charmingParticipantUntil I have concrete proof of otherwise, I am going with Wonderland is a prison. Or a place where you can banish someone. Maybe King George is there along with King Midas. They are visibly absent near curse time. it was a surprise to see him show up as a DA in Storybrooke indicating he is alive in FTL. Whale a banished FTL character?? we really do not know if he knows or what he knows or remembers for that matter.
If that is the case maybe the cuckoo ward is a holding place. Everyone there wass probably transferred from Wonderland to the cuckoo ward in Storybrooke as a result of curse.
