    I think Broken might not be referring to the curse being broken, but that the fairy tale worlds themselves have been broken. Instead of everyone just being transported to ours, the curse broke all of the other worlds apart leaving small corner of it intact.

    At first I thought it referred, to the character in the beginning just feeling broken as a person… I like to think maybe this character left storybrooke and has had bad luck since then.

    But I do think it also refers to the fact that the curse is broken, I feel that august is involved with this person. mainly because of his phone call.

    It could have a double/triple meaning or more. The world, the word on the postcard, the FTL worlds, all the previous relationships that have been shaken and mixed up now that the curse is broken…it’s a loaded title for a single word.

    I agree. I think the writers deliberately chose a word that would have layers of meaning.

    Yep, I agree, and I love how that one little word can mean so many different things in this case. Was an inspired choice for this ep title.

    BROKEN TIES (that bind)
