hjbau Always appreciate your input, whether we agree or not, can always use another perspective 😉
- We already know Emma’s magic is affecting things since she came ( ie. clock moved, sinkhole, saved Ashley’s baby from Mr. Gold, helped the kids in True North find their father, Jefferson let loose, Ruby’s transformation) so I don’t know if there might be a better question to ask.
Tried to ask questions about Henry and the adoption under the Pilot Episode and 1×2. They are not exactly worded, but check and see if they are sufficient.
Added the SW/Regina conflict as suggested under 1×3
I will correct the skeleton keys. I wasn’t sure how to word that.
Lastly, I agree with you about the bottle of love but picked love potion in quotations because it was shorter and I liked that it was number 9 on the shelf. 😀Dorothy — felt your question was covered by the question “where is Bae” under 1×18. Where would include time and space in this instance. Is that okay?
Empty Heart — Please check out the questions regarding Baelfire under 1×4 and 1×18 on the first page of this thread.Let me know if there is something more I can add.
Giving a personal opinion on your one question about whether or not Bae developed magical powers, I kind of assume that since the BF said he was sent to a land without magic, he is kind of stuck, like August, waiting for the “magic” (Emma) to arrive. Just assuming from what was told to us in 1×18.
Crimson Angel — I suppose I felt like Ep 1×18 told us Rumpel had planned all this regarding the curse used to find Bae. Perhaps a better question might be does the BF, being the original power, have a greater plan beyond Rumpel’s?
@Crimson Angel wrote:
Did he plan to have the two true lovers make Emma to break his curse?
Also, giving an opinion here: if true love was an ingredient to the curse, I think Rumpel waited a long time for the perfect couple and the opportunity to deal with them. Otherwise, why not use Cinderella and Thomas? There was something about SW and Charming he preferred or he knew, and he has kind of a obsession about children. Children are often considered a natural result of true love… so it’s kind of interesting to think the result of true love is what will break the curse, which happens to be Emma.

Do you remember what episode we saw a glimpse of the contract signed Mr. Gold? I think it was either 1×4 or 1×11.
hjbau Do you think the keys would be magic if they open any lock in SB or is that just the writers using the term “skeleton key” to its max? 🙂
April 25, 2012 at 12:20 pm #143976hjbauParticipantI think that i just want a more technical answer about what Emma’s magic is doing. Like is she causing her magic to work by something she is doing? Or does it just happen by her presence alone? Like she is Emma the savior so she is causing magical things to happen. Does that mean she needs to believe to heal August? I wouldn’t think so. Or does it mean that once she believes her magic will be something more active?
What you wrote was fine though.
And i understand about the love potion. Maybe a question should be is the bottle of love an ingredient in the dark curse?
Maybe Rumpel used Snow and Charming’s love because they were stronger people then Cinderella and Thomas. I could see that. Like if you had to choose whose kid you thought would have the strength to be the savior you would pick the child of Snow and Charming over the child of Cinderella and Thomas.
April 25, 2012 at 12:25 pm #143977hjbauParticipantI think the keys are magic because there are only like 10 or 15 of them and there have to be thousands of people in town. Maybe it is always that one of the keys will work, but you can’t be sure which one. Or maybe the key worked because Emma used it and didn’t because Henry tried. I don’t like that though. I would want the key to work for anyone not just Emma and we saw a key work for Mary and for Regina so it isn’t just Emma and i don’t want Henry to be excluded just because he wasn’t born in fairytale land because he has fairytale land parents and is therefore part of the group, in my opinion.
I thought it was strange that the key Emma used seemed to be the only one with an apple on it whereas all the rest actually had skulls on them. I don’t know what that means though.
April 25, 2012 at 1:13 pm #143985SnickerdoodleParticipanthjbau readdressed the issue of Emma’s magic and the “bottle of love” in 1×16 and 1×17
Good thoughts on the keys. There does seem to be some sort of magic in stasis so to speak carried over from FTL, because you know, the sheriff was walking around without a heart. So perhaps the magic is in stasis and not able to be wielded by anyone. I mean even Mr. Gold wasn’t sure what affect Emma was going to have, and so he said that is why he buried the knife — because he saw things changing and didn’t want to risk Regina finding it.April 25, 2012 at 2:09 pm #143994April 25, 2012 at 6:49 pm #144035hjbauParticipantWhat you put about Emma’s magic is fine because like you said we don’t know exactly what we are going to see with that.
April 26, 2012 at 12:53 am #144110lissyParticipantThanks so much for starting another type of thread where you put are individual thoughts up! We all apreciate it. So my burning question is why did Regina lock Belle up? We know she probably will use her against Rumpelstiltskin, but we do not know how or what moment Regina will be desperate enough to do so.
April 26, 2012 at 12:58 am #144111lissyParticipantAnd from the Red Handed episode, from what wizard did Granny receive the magical cloak from?
April 26, 2012 at 2:22 am #144115enchantedoneParticipantI would like to know…
Who wrote Henry’s book?
How did MM get the book?
Are MM/David aka Snow/PC able to move on after all of this and have a HEA?
What Happened to Cora?
How old is Rumple? -
