Can Rumple win the fight agaisnt Hook when he arrives in SB?

Rumple won in FL because he wasn’t cripple at that time. But now, even with magic, he can’t walk without his cane. I feel that there no chance for him to win the duel with Hook. What do you think?

There’s a chance Mr. Gold/Rumpel would still win, despite his limp, since he can still wield powerful magic (as demonstrated when he rescued Belle in 2×4). I think magic was the main reason the Dark Rumpel won in the EF, and since magic is back, Mr. Gold could probably win if Hook came to SB. However, if Hook has figured out he can control the Dark One by stealing his dagger, than Rumpel is going to be in serious danger.

I think Rumple will win against Hook. They seem to be setting Hook up as a villain and villains normally get their comeuppance

Also Rumple is a very popular character and the Rumbelle ship has a lot of fans so I don’t think they will kill off Rumple. Whilst I think Hook will have a few victories against Rumple, ultimately Rumple will win overall. Their fight isn’t just going to be a one time thing.

Just remember that Rumple cannot be controlled by the dagger in Storybrooke because August? tried to do that when he was pretending to be Bae and it did not work. However, now that there is magic in SB it may…

And Hook seems to have an ally in Cora. I wouldn’t say Hook is entirely without magic on his side, with that considered.

I think Hook is definitely going to win/manipulate/control Rumple with the dagger– but not ULTIMATELY triumph. I think either directly (controlling him with the dagger now that magic is back, or by threatening/blackmailing others) or indirectly (by forcing Rumple to make morally ambiguous and possible villainous decisions in order to defeat him… fight fire with fire, as it way, and take no prisoners), Rumple is going to be forced to do a lot of things that he will regret. It will likely drive a wedge between him and Belle, and there will be some very serious ramifications. I think it’ll all be okay in the end, but not for a long time. It may even get more complicated if Bae shows up, because he’ll see Rumple being quite nasty (although with good reason, if he’s protecting Belle), and he’ll be disappointed because he’ll think his father hasn’t changed at all. It will set Rumple back quite a bit, I think, and undermine some of the character development he’s been going through now.

I think it’ll be heartbreaking and painful, but rewarding in the end, when they bring it all together and he overcomes adversity and pulls through. Which I think/hope/pray he will. haha.
