Can You Come Out Of The Hat?

We’ve now seen the Apprentice and the Fairies go into the hat (good bye Plot Device Fairy). But can you come out again?

And if the Blue Fairy was able to be sucked in–someone who is supposed to be one of the biggest forces for good in the world–then can she come back out? And what does it mean if she’s not immune to the hat? Does it mean that the Sorcerer is “better” than she is?

Definetly think the Sorcerer is the MOST powerful magical being, even more so than any Dark One! The Sorcerer is like…the Head of the Magic Department!

I find it hard to believe that the Apprentice and Blue are out of the picture quite yet, so I do suspect they’ll escape the hat at some point.

Yeah I bet Blue gets out but others may tag along who were suppose to stay in there.

If there are others in the hat, I wonder how they got in there. It wasn’t a DO. Was it the Apperntice or did someone else manage to get the hat & use it.

If the theory that the Apprentice is actually the Sorcerer proves true, and he can now team up with Blue, you’d think they could bust everyone out of that thing.

I wondered if that was one possibility of how Maleficent was brought back to life. Regina said that the underground cave sustains Maleficent in whatever form she’s in. And, since magic doesn’t disappear, it takes on another form (dust, ashes). Rumple could have easily sucked up Maleficent’s ashes into the hat.

I’m really hoping that somehow it’s implied that Neal may be responsible for releasing the magic from the hat. Like, Neal focusing his attention on the hat, and suddenly it begins to spin. And we spend the winter hiatus wondering if Neal is good magic, or bad.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one whose first reaction was “au revoir Convenient Plot Device Fairy!”

I’m actually hoping that being sucked into the Sorcerer’s Hat is permanent. The show has never made fairies work properly. We’ve ranted about it ad nauseum on here, but the TL;dr version: Blue is meant to be all powerful but when it comes down to it, can’t do diddly squat that is of any use. The only fairy I’m hoping didn’t get sucked up was Tink, because I miss her sass face.
