I do like Belle, but I didn’t think it was that shocking what he did to her. Sorry, but he is a villain, so he is going to do horrible things to people to reach his goals. Hitting Belle, using Aurora’s heart, helping Cora, all these actions make him someone who is going to create conflict.
Plus, he so far has not even reached close to what both Rumpelstiltskin and Regina have done. 🙂

THIS!! Exactly!!

That’s the key word. Innocent. So many terrible things have happened to her and she didn’t deserve it. Because of her association with Rumpel, she’s been treated as a nothing but a chess piece and it’s sad to watch. She’s a really sweet girl and doesn’t deserve any of the things that have happened to her. She reminds me of Snow in that respect. The only difference is that Snow was able to defend herself. Regina kidnapped Belle before she ever got the chance to learn how to live on her own.
And I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think she’s a very strong woman. She’s one of the few people who can tell Rumpel off without getting killed. The girl’s got guts! 😆
I agree. Belle is similar to Henry in their innocent aspect. A character can’t deliberately hurt them without being considered a villain.
Belle is a strong woman, especially when compared to Cinderella.
Would there be the same reaction had Hook hit Aurora instead? Or any other female character that we have come to love?
Would there be the same reaction had Hook hit Mulan instead? Most people haven’t yet warmed up to her character yet.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixI think people react that way to both Henry and Belle because, physically, they are not strong fighters. They are people that do good and that want to help others. 🙂 They are both capable of bringing in goodness out of two people that have not been good for a long time, that have cared for no one but themselves.
In a way, both Henry and Belle are special in that respect. 🙂 Both Regina and Rumpelstiltskin have done horrible things, and yet these two make them try to be good.
And I would react the same way if he had hit some other character. I would feel bad for them. 🙂 But again, he is a villain.
so I’d been thinking about this for awhile and there really isn’t an appreciative post of Hook when he’s tied up. so I made 3 picspams of the times he’s been tied up on Once. 😀 just thought I’d share.

lol that’s true 😆 he looked pretty hurt when Emma left him behind
and I agree that Belle is innocent and can’t defend herself, like ever. I actually find her a little annoying, but that’s mostly because of the actress and the way she talks and how she randomly cringes at anything 😆
Hello fellow Hookers 🙂
