Instead of Captain Hook and Emma, I want to see Hook with Ariel. I have a theory that when Captain Hook met Ariel, he used an alias name and he used the name Eric.
[adrotate group="5"]Has he really been focused on avenging Milah though? Or has he been more focused on revenge for the embarrassment of having his hand cut off in front of his entire crew? Milah was definitely a part of it, but I think he might want to kill Rumpel mostly to fix his own wounded pride.

Yes, even though they didn’t state it on the show, I think that Hook and Milah were each other’s true loves. After all they set up a parallel between the true love of Regina and Daniel with what happened to Hook and Milah with Hook having to watch Milah have her heart ripped out and crushed right before his eyes. Further, Regina makes a vow of revenge against those that she feels are responsible for Daniel’s death, and Hook makes a vow of revenge against the one responsible for Milah’s death. Similarly, it took Regina several years before she could enact her plan and learn enough magic and gain enough power to enact it, and Hook used magic through the bean and joining up with Cora in order to wait a very long time to enact his plan of revenge.
There’s also the parallel of the true love of Rumple and Belle going on with Hook and Milah, but they also contrast Rumple and Belle versus Rumple and Milah. For the former, Milah runs away from her family with someone that most people would consider inappropriate in part because she felt trapped by a marriage, that most likely was arranged and because she wanted to have adventure in her life and see the world. Then, the latter they have Milah being like Belle in that both were escaping loveless matches and wanting to have adventure, but with Milah ripping out Rumple’s heart metaphorically by saying that she never loved him while Belle of course in “Skin Deep” tries to prove that she does love him.
It doesn’t mean that Milah and Hook were each other’s true loves necessarily, but I think we’re meant to even though they haven’t come right out and said so. Perhaps the writers feel it’s unnecessary to come right out and say so since it’s heavily implied, imo, or they’re leaving a little wiggle room because they don’t want to destroy any of Hook’s fan girls’ dreams or in case they want to pair him up later with someone and that pairing becomes really popular, they can say that pairing has true love.
For this poll, I would answer Ariel though just because we don’t know the backstory of Hook, so maybe Killian Jones is his alias so that people don’t know he comes from a royalty and is secretly a Prince or something like that. Or maybe Eric is his middle name, and he goes by that in front of certain people. She’s the only one that really works on the poll, imo, because Aurora and Regina already have a true love, and I think Emma does too in Henry’s father or at least eventually it will be true love between her and Henry’s father.
CrackParing, but a Game of Thrones fan pointed out that if Mulan and Hook were to pair up, they would be the OuaT version of Jamie Lannister and Brienne. Darn you, crack pairings!
In light of Tallahassee, I rescind my previous post 😳 I am now officially convinced Hook loved Milah, otherwise he wouldn’t have reacted the way he did to Emma seeing his tattoo.
Milah and Hook can’t and won’t be true love. He is a hot character and will eventually have a hot girl that will later be proved as his true love. They don’t cast a hot guy to the show without some interesting juicy love story and just head for revenge. His want for revenge is not because of Milah only, it’s also his pride. He’s a fearsome captain was defeated and got his hand cut off by a someone he used to despise and recently bullied. For me, he did love Milah, but not that much as true love. He will eventually let her go. Just like Rumple. He did loved Milah, he would think for himself that she was his TL, but she wasn’t. Belle is.
Hook certainly loved Milah, the tattoo is proof of that. I don’t think that necessarily means that they won’t have him fall in love again though. Milah may have been Killian’s one true love, but he became a whole new person after her death, so they can give Hook a true love too.
I’ve been thinking a fair bit about the prospect of Hook and Ariel recently, and have come to really like the idea. Sort of decided that I want there to have been a rivalry between King Triton and Davy Jones, and then one day Triton’s daughter falls in love with Davy’s son in Neverland and because her father forbids it, she has to make the deal with Ursula to be with him, and they’ll have a grand old forbidden romance.
I think I’m clear on who I’m shipping lol, I think Emma & Hook would be great very complicated very interesting.

I’m with you steliokontos…This is the way I see it: Hook truly loved Milah and he wants to get revenge on Rumple for taking both his hand and his true love. But I see him falling hard for Emma, too. He likes her spirit and that she’s not the typical girly princess. I think for a while we may see Emma interested in him, too. That is until she meets up with Neal again.
The show’s producers are totally going to draw this out as long as they can. They’re not going to get Emma and Neal together soon. So in the meantime, she’ll have this flirty relationship with Hook to keep her (and us!) entertained. I’m afraid it’ll be the Jack-Kate-Sawyer triangle from Lost all over again. We’ll have Team Hook and Team Neal. and no show would be complete without this. Emma still has a whole lot of issues to sort out before she’s ready for a serious relationship again and a lot of soul searching to do before she can trust a man again.
