2) Hook was goading Peter by calling him a coward for always flying away during his sword fights. Peter responds by saying “Coward? COWARD? Nobody calls Peter a coward and lives! I’ll fight you man to man with one hand behind my back! I won’t even fly, you have my word.” Rumple is known for being a coward. Even Bae calls him a coward for not going through the portal. Bae naturally wants to be a better person than his father. Also, Bae says the magic words… “you have my word”
3) The second part of the scene, Peter is on his back weaponless with Hook’s sword inches from his head. Wendy and the Lost Boys are screaming at him to fly away and reset himself. However, while staring at the sword, Peter replies in a scared, but assertive voice “NO! I gave my word” Peter is facing iminent death, yet he is staying true to his word. This is something Bae would naturally do considereing Rumple broke his promise during the portal scene.
Yes, excellent points. Those classic Pan characteristics would certainly fit Bae rather perfectly.

what if when Rumple let go of Bae the vortex diverted him to Neverland BECAUSE he became “a lost boy.”
This is what I’ve been sayin’ since the moment I saw Bae go down the beanhole. When Rumple didn’t go with him, he no longer needed to go to a land without magic, he needed to go where Lost Boys go instead, so that’s where the bean sent him.
As far as Tamara is concerned, I’m toying with both Tink and Wendy as possible secret identities for her.
I completely agree.
Once Rumple let go of Bae’s hand, the rules changed.
There’s also an off chance that the Blue Fairy wasn’t completely honest with Bae.
We’ve seen her fudge the truth before.
I think the BF knew full well that Rumple would not be able to bring himself to go into that vortex with Bae and that’s exactly what she wanted.
She needed The Dark One to need a reason to ‘do nothing else, love nothing else’ and devote centuries to perfecting the Dark Curse so that it could be cast and ultimately be broken.
Separating Rumple from Bae provided that reason.
She told Bae the bean would take him to a place without magic, but, she maybe didn’t tell him it would take him to a place with out magic only if it was both of them who went through.
She told Bae to follow the bean ‘wherever it may lead you’….why say that when she just said the bean would take him to a place without magic?
So this maybe a stretch, but after watching tonight’s episode “The Millers Daughter” I noticed something interesting related to this theory…SPOILERS FOR TONIGHT’S EPISODE BELOW
When Bae was talking to Emma about the surprise Tamara situation in the invisble chalk protection scene! LOLZ 😆 there was a little statue of a women just above his shoulders (See the gif below):
This immediately made me think PETER PAN + TINK! Maybe he will be Peter Pan , and Tamara is a fairy connected to Tinkerbell or Tinkerbell herself!!
My theory – Neal/Bae was a member of Hook’s crew, a pirate. He may have even killed Peter Pan.
