For episode #218 of Once Upon a Time, a guest role (preferably with an Asian accent) is being cast: The Healer. He’s 60, mystical, powerful, helpful to those in trouble, and makes predictions that can be difficult to understand.
Since there aren’t many Asians on this show, I'm 100% sure that this will be Mulan's backstory. It has to be.

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!

Either her backstory of how she became the warrior, or the events after Belle had her adventure – they need to explore Philip’s story as well so perhaps they will kill two birds in one go 😉 I wouldn’t mind if Maleficent had her appearance too!

….I feel like we’re about to head into a prophecy/ prophecies overload. Guess it wouldn’t be an epic/adventure saga without some prophecies that won’t make sense until the series end! 😆
January 29, 2013 at 12:20 am #170423PheeParticipantGlad they’re gonna be doing more of Mulan’s backstory. I know she’s not necessarily a huge fan fave, but I like her well enough and hope that when her story is fleshed out more, the fandom will find her more interesting.
January 29, 2013 at 12:26 am #170425kranenParticipantDefinitely a Mulan back story. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see current FTL in this episode.

Yes, I really wonder where they’re going with all of the prophecy stuff and now Greg too. Last season was pretty cut and dry because it was all about getting Emma to believe and break the Curse, and defeat the Evil Queen. This year I still don’t really know what they’re building up to other than Cora and Hook getting revenge on Rumple, and everyone finding out that Henry’s father is Rumple’s son. I think that’s good and bad because it’s very unpredictable, but at the same time, I hope that everything makes sense by the end of the season. Right now I’m not sure it does other than Rumple and Regina trying to change and then falling back into their old ways.

Totally agree…the first season was tight as far as the plot was concerned …you knew exactly where they were going with it from the beginning…second season has been all over the place. Hopefully when we get to the end of this season there will be this aahhhh moment and it’ll all make sense as far as the goal is concerned.

Perhaps he will be a zen master who teaches Mulan martial arts. Perhaps he is the one who gave her her enchanted sword, whose blade was strong enough to cut through a magic beanstalk.
