Recurring Roles Being Cast

For Once Upon A Time episode 3.01 and recurring in several episodes, the roles of Rufio and Thief are being cast. Rufio is in his teens, and is a mischievous and devious Lost Boy, and the Thief is in his 30s and steals magic from Rumpelstiltskin in order to save someone he loves.

Sounds like “Rufio” could be Peter Pan and the Thief matches Robin Hood’s description for Lacey.

Rufio’s gotta be a code name for Pan.

I wonder why they’re recasting RH. But if this Thief is RH, then all sings points toward him being Tamara’s father. Does PP have him captive?

Agreed RG it does sound like Rufio could most definitely be code for PP. Thief could be RH if that is the case then it’s possible we may see Tom Ellis back as RH considering ABC did not pick up his pilot Gothica. So maybe you are right that RH could be Tamara’s father and if that is the case maybe she is willingly working for Pan to gain RH’s freedom if Pan is holding him hostage

I really want RH to be Tamara’s father or else RH’s appearance was really random, especially with a pregnant Maid Marian.

I don’t think Adam & Eddy would just make RH’s appearance random considering Marian was pregnant when he healed her with that wand he stole from Rumple. Now I’m beginning to wonder how he knew just what wand to steal from Rumple in the first place. Someone had to tell him the question is who & why

That is entirely possible RG but if that is the case what could have happened to want make RH work for PP & THO ? Did something happen Marian to cause this ? Because remember what he said in 3×19 to Rumple and Belle as he shot the arrow and it hit Rumple “Don’t you just love magic ? I know I do”

Thank God we didn’t have to wait any longer for the forum to come back, I’ve been dying to post about this since I saw it!

They don’t actually have the rights to use Rufio, do they? Which would suggest it’s just a placeholder name, likely for PP, though I’ve gotta wonder why they’d bother leaking a casting call for PP considering they’ve already spoken about how they’ve been working on casting the role.

This makes it look like they’re re-casting RH, given that it’s the exact same casting call. I did a brief search earlier to see if Tom Ellis is working on other stuff that might prevent him from carrying on with RH, but didn’t come across anything. He’s on a show in the UK called Miranda, which I gather may have another season being shot at some point, but I couldn’t find any specific info regarding that.

Anyway, if they’re planning to bring back RH as a recurring role, they must have something somewhat substantial in mind for him, and I’m agreeing it could well play into the theories of him being Tamara’s father.

I’d love to see him alive and well in present day FTL, helping Nealfire, who tells the story about how he ended up there and RH can be all, “Wow, that ex-fiancee of yours sounds like a real piece of work,” not realising he’s talking about his long lost baby girl.

Re Rufio: No they don’t. That film is not Disney, so it’s a total place holder. But building off what we know about that character, Rufio was a “Pan” but not Peter. They could be alluding to Peter Pan with his name.

I think it is for PP and I still think the Duke is involved.

As for Robin Hood, I think he will be in FL training Snow White and maybe David?
