As for Robin Hood, I think he will be in FL training Snow White and maybe David?
I’d love to see Bandit Snow learning a thing or two from Robin Hood.

June 28, 2013 at 2:40 pm #198735DemiletoParticipantThey don’t actually have the rights to use Rufio, do they?
They didn’t, but rights can be acquired. Who knows? They didn’t have for the characters of Peter Pan originally, but they ended up getting for them all. What I know is that they’d very much love to have Rufio in the show:
Does Rufio exist in your version of Neverland?
Kitsis: You know what? At this point, everyone has asked us about Rufio. Our entire writers’ room is pitching Rufio. I don’t know whether or not that is property of Sony.
Horowitz: Whatever studio did it, I think Rufio is a proprietary character.
Kitsis: He lives in our hearts.
Horowitz: We love Rufio and we wish he could be a part of this show. In our minds, he exists in the show whether you see him or not.And honestly, I’d feel pretty cheated to find out they used a codename for a well-known character that’s recognized as another well-known character (ok, more or less in this case) in the same universe as the former and that fans have been asking for.

I’m sure we’ll see him in flashbacks. But if they’re gonna re-cast and/or make him recurring, I’ve gotta think that means he’s significant enough that he’ll be in more than just a flashback or two.

Good point about them having mentioned Rufio before, I’d forgotten about that. Curious!

I amm so glad that this forum is active again and of course here are the first spoilers. It is so nice that use Rufio. Ok, it could be a that he is only a name holder for PP or somebody else, but still I feel that altough Rufio is from Sony (or whatever) he is not forgotten.

June 28, 2013 at 5:56 pm #198787PriceofMagicParticipantStorybrooke is a bigger town than it appears. It is possible that Robin Hood and Marian are in Storybrooke and we just haven’t seen them yet. Kind of how Johanna had been living in Storybrooke all the time and only got in contact with Snow on Snow’s birthday.

This definitely would make sense as in the episode “The Evil Queen”, Snow White says that she was taught how to kill livestock by someone from another forest. I believe that the person who another forest who taught her how to kill livestock was Robin Hood.
Keeper of Tamara's death, Cyrus's bottle, Ariel's red hair, and the mermaid that got turned into a statue in the season 3 premiere episode.
June 28, 2013 at 6:57 pm #198798MysteryKat25ParticipantI feel like after all the fiasco last year with people reporting they were planning on recasting Jefferson that they said they weren’t interested in recasting ANYBODY.
That casting call does sound awfully similar though, but really most thieves would probably be shown trying to steal something from Rumplestiltskin. Wonder what other thieves could be lurking in FTL?
Rufio is probably a placeholder for a similar type role, although it would be weird to not just code-name it something else. I feel like we were misdirected with Felix which is the general desire of such things (there was debate as to PP or a Rufio-esque character). By saying Rufio it kinda has to be him or “a Pan” which gives stuff away, yet we haven’t seen an actual casting call for PP even though we know he’s coming. I have a feeling that’s because they don’t want to reveal ANY details about him at all (kinda hard to put out a call without giving any specifics whatsoever!)
I really really hope that they keep Tom Ellis as RH, even though he was only shown in one episode so far. I’d like the continuity. They already had to have a stand-in for Mulan but it was for a brief scene where she wasn’t *technically* needed to be anything other than seen and I fully expect her to be herself when we see MAP again, however briefly. I can’t imagine them recasting RH so quickly, we just met him!
I do like the idea that we’ll get more of his story along with (hopefully) teaching Snow how to use a bow and arrow. I’m still on the fence about RH & Marian being Tamara’s parents (mostly cause I hate her and don’t want her associated with characters I like) but I’ll agree their appearance, and the fact that she was pregnant, were very random indeed if they didn’t have plans to do *something* with it.
There’s only been a couple of things I’ve actually really hated though, mostly Sidney as “genie” (I’m still holding out for him to be JafarGenie instead…) and the idea that Tamara is actually related to FT characters I like. That being said, they’ve turned villains into anti-heroes that I love, and PP is apparently a villain, so it’s certainly not impossible. I just really liked the OUAT RH and would hate for his daughter to be so awful. =/ We’ll see though!
