Jafar vs Rumple is really hard.
If you take awayJafar’s serpent staff would he still have as much magic–or does he solely rely on AmaraSnake? But if you take away Rumple’s DO status would he have as much magic?
Jafar only has one person he loves, and is currently keeping him in a cage. Rumple is a man who loves deeply and to many people, that’s a weakness against an enemy. But Jafar is incredibly single minded. He couldn’t kill Alice before she made her wishes because then he’d never get the bottle.
If we’re talking a no holds bar magic battle then I think I have to go with Rumple. But man, it would be close.

He’ll do whatever it takes to bring someone down including the use of his own life. He took down Pan. He’s got the power of love on his side, which is the most powerful magic of all. Jafar doesn’t. Plus he’s gathered a lot of tricks over the years that he could use. 🙂

I have no clue this is too hard to decide their both powerful, determined, sneaky and clever. Is both an option???
Another tough one.
I’m actually going to go with Jafar. Pan’s evil, he’s done a lot of bad things but magic wise, I feel like Jafar would be more powerful.
Good point. Pan is evil but his magic seems to be limited to freezing people and lighting torches. We never really saw him do anything really spectacular–and his magic is based around his belief that he can do magic. If he lost that, he’d be powerless.

Emma and Regina were powerless in front of him. He would win Jafar and Rumpel together if they joined forces against him. all he had to do was believe that he will win, and he did. he was unstoppable. he used ANY and EVERY means to win
the ONLY reason he was able to be defeated in the end is because he himself believed that the only way for him to die is for Rumpelstiltskin to die also, and since he did, Pan had no power to stop it anymore. but seriously…. he’s “someone we ALL should fear”
Pan took magic to a level that none of the other characters ever didCan I choose both again.
