I loved the way Grumpy was doing the whole “twin – what? WHO ARE YOU???” while running away from being squished 😆
Yeah…the best part about the whole reveal was Grumpy’s reaction.
Yeah, the way they revealed it was the best part of it. I honestly wasn’t expecting David; I thought it would be Joseph because I thought Jack was the third sibling. Once we learned Jack wasn’t, I realized it probably wouldn’t be Joseph. So: David is fine. He’s always just going to be Charming.

I think his “David is weak” line deserves another look now.
There’s a clue in that line actually cause he does specify “Storybrooke David”
It was completely the expected answer. I’ve argued in the past that with the whole shepherd becoming a king bit it could only be David. Ooh… and now he’s beaten a giant, though in this case by friendship.
The way they went through this confirmation, though, was awesome. It’s going to go down as one of the classic comic moments of the show.
I always figured David was his real name.
I loved the whole scene. It didn’t matter to David at all. Grumpy kept asking and he was like “meh, it ain’t no big thing.” And I loved how Grumpy was like “WHO ARE YOU!? WHAT?! I’m SO CONFUSED!” and they made it look like Snow knew everything all along (and of course she did, she’s his wife… I just remember some people thinking Snow didn’t know about everything).
I remember Josh Dallas gave an interview a few weeks back that Charming’s name – his real name – was so obvious. 😆
They could have gone with Richard which was used on paper but David makes so much more sense because of the shepherd and biblical thing.

I liked that it was during the chase with the Giant that it was revealed that he was David. It reminded me of the story of “David and Goliath”.
To Regina, this was probably a slap in the face, to be demoted from “Prince James” back to the lowly “Shepherd David”. He was no longer the beloved Prince.
I never thought about either of those points! Good job.
