Tonight we learned that Regina once again cast the curse. But breaking it means Henry will die as the Coven of Eight have poisoned him; however, if she does not break it, Lucy will die. Who will Regina choose? Can she save both?

She makes Regina help cast the curse so that Henry won’t die – because Gothel will kill him if Regina doesn’t cooperate, or because the poison won’t continue to take effect in a Land Without Magic? If it’s the second, why would breaking the curse cause the poison to kick in again? Because of the magic from True Love’s Kiss? Also, why does breaking the overall curse stop Lucy from dying? Isn’t what Tremaine did to her a whole separate thing? Did I miss something major?

I also think that Regina will need to approach Rumple again for help. Again, no idea how he could.
I have only one idea right now. Suddenly out of nowhere there will be a magical McGuffin that freezes time right at the moment when the curse starts to break. Then, someone with magic will do something else to save Henry while he is still alive.
I considered that Henry’s last breath would be saved shortly after the curse is broken (with Tremaine’s help?). But this would mean that someone would need to be sacrificed to wake him up maybe.
Keeper of Regina's bravery

Pretty sure it’s the latter; they even say something like no one can stop the poison except in a Land Without Magic
So here’s my big question: why does Gothel even want this curse cast? If it was all to get Anastasia, then why couldn’t she stay in the New EF and get Ana there? What’s the point of moving realms? She had magic enough to put Ana into stasis and she knew how to wake up Ana in HH so…what’s the point??

Ok, thank you. I missed that line. But I still don’t understand why breaking the curse would cause the poison to take effect again, unless TLK brings magic to HH…somehow lol

The only thing I can think of is that she needed to be in our world specifically to accomplish her goals with the 8 witches, whatever those goals are. Her wanting to take over our world outside of HH even, could be interesting since we haven’t had that for a villain’s motivation yet who wasn’t trapped by Storybrooke’s town line. And maybe there was also another convenient prophecy involved telling her she had to come to a LWM.

In the original curse, Rumpel’s goal was to regain his memories, regain his magic, and to remain in the Land Without Magic to find Bae. I think this new curse if broken would just return them all to the Enchanted Forest 2 and Henry would then die. Though, i have no idea what that has to do with saving Lucy. They should just find a different way to save Lucy that has nothing to do with breaking the curse.

I dunno why Gothel had to go to this much trouble to get Ana woken up, but I’ll bet Ana’s gonna end up being Gothel’s downfall. The girl with the inexplicable super powerful magic will snap her fingers and Lucy and Henry will both be saved, while Gothel bites the dust.

She’s more or less a walking MacGuffin
