Family tree is someone who is actually is in the family, so I really doubt this. For adding to the family tree we have to add Rumble’s Dad, and David’s Dad then perhaps latter Snow’s new baby this would complete the family tree.
If Emma had a foster brother at any point, then yes, that person would legitimately be a part of the family tree. And the article about adding to the family tree said, “Once Upon a Time‘s most magical family tree is poised to grow — even beyond the new addition of Peter Pan as Rumpelstiltskin’s father and recent “baby talk” between Snow White and Prince Charming.”

Regina isn’t blood related to Snow or Henry but she is included because she is Snow’s step mother and Henry’s adopted mother. ONCE don’t take traditional stances when it comes to family. Foster kids can become incredibly close and can consider themselves as much like family as blood relatives. Especially if they are all each other has.
With that said…I do like the bail bondsperson I idea. I’m really torn between the two.

I saw a thing on tumblr just before that makes me wanna keep one foot in the AdultHenry camp, even though it doesn’t work logically for me any more, because he’s in more scenes than I’d previously thought. But, just…
See what I’m sayin’ about him having Henry hair? 😆 He totally looks like he could be an older version of Henry IMO. But I don’t want a time traveling older Henry hanging out with them having dinner in a restaurant.I wonder how old the character is gonna be? The actor’s 39, which is 5 years older than JMo, but she’s playing a 29 year old. So if he’s playing his actual age, his character is potentially about 10 years older than Emma. But he could also be playing someone a bit younger than his real life age.

Whoever this guy is,
His appearance may be relatively brief, but we’re told it’s an important role that just might lead to future appearances.
If he is Henry from the future, story wise, his first appearance wouldn’t be relatively brief. Usually, stuff time travels tend to be parts of a bigger arc.

Gorham totally looks like he could have been an aged up Henry with the hair and everything. All these spoiler pics have me completely confused now, btw. I still think the new curse is going to show some alternate universe or maybe what could have happened if different choices were made. My head hurts with trying to tie everything together. 🙂

"Because... it was born out of true love."November 23, 2013 at 11:39 am #226034obisgirlParticipantThere’s also this from the recent Q&A lightening round with Adam & Eddie:
Will we learn about Emma’s last name, Swan?
Adam Horowitz: Yes..which adds to the theory maybe this mystery guy is Emma’s adopted brother theory.
November 23, 2013 at 11:50 am #226035PheeParticipantThe glitch I can see in the theory that he’s the kid that Emma’s foster family had and sent her away, (I’m assuming that’s the family she got the Swan name from, because they had her until she was 3), is the actors’ ages, because he may only be a handful of years older than JMo IRL, but he couldn’t pass for being 26, which he’d have to be if he was the kid that Emma’s foster parents had when she was 3. It’d make for a cool story if it turns out that that kid grew up, discovered that his parents had given Emma away, and tracked her down, but I just don’t think the ages would work.
That doesn’t mean that he couldn’t have been a foster brother from a different family, though.

Except Regina was married to Snow’s father and adopted Henry, so she would be on the family tree.
Didn’t Emma run away at around 14 or 15 from the foster system, so again how could this guy find her? Also, did she tell Henry, that the family had a little boy I thought it was a little girl because if it was another baby girl they might have problems accepting Emma now and that is why they put Emma but back into the system at the age of 3. If they had a boy it wouldn’t have matter if they had Emma.
Also I thought she was adopted not foster which I could get that transcript on that talk that Henry had with Emma.
How can a foster parent provide a last name?
November 23, 2013 at 12:03 pm #226038PriceofMagicParticipantI don’t think he is Emma’s foster brother. I think the flashback to Emma’s foster family will occur when Snow reveals to Emma she is pregnant. The flashback would show the differences between Emma’s reactions to the news. At 3, she would’ve been excited about having a little brother or sister before she got sent back into care because of it, whilst as an adult Emma would be reluctant of the news because of what happened last time, even though she’s not going to be sent away again.
I think it is possibly someone who got Emma into the bailsbond profession.
All magic comes with a price!

Henry: You don’t know what it’s like with her. My life sucks!
Emma: Oh, you wanna know what sucking is? Being left abandoned on the side of a freeway; my parents didn’t even bother to drop me off at a hospital! (Begins to break down) I ended up in a foster system and I had a family until I was three but then they had their own kid so they sent me back… (Stops, collects self.) Look. Your mom is trying her best. I know it’s hard. And I know sometimes you think she doesn’t love you. But at least she wants you.How can a foster parent provide a last name?
I admit to not knowing how it actually works, I’m just guessing that as an infant she was probably Emma Doe, and when the family who fostered her until she was 3 took her in, she took their surname.

That would be a good time for them to address it. We figure they’ll write Ginny’s pregnancy into the storyline, but dunno exactly how/when. I’ve had the crack theory that they’ll have a time jump of about 6 months between 311 and 312 so that Snow’s pregnancy can catch up to Ginny’s and they won’t have to keep trying to hide it.
I think it is possibly someone who got Emma into the bailsbond profession.
Maybe he knew her when she was in jail? He was a corrections officer of some description who she got to know, and he helped her get on her feet once she was free? If he’s someone who works in that field, maybe he’s helping her again if there’s some legal trouble that Neal’s in, like some of us have speculated.
I just think he’s gotta be someone she was close to on an emotional level in the past, because Emma Swan doesn’t just go around hugging people like that and letting them kiss her forehead.
