Maybe the mystery whatever potion causes rapid aging and Henry drinks it for whatever reason?
So the side effect is rapid aging (then why is Hook giving it to Emma?) or is it only Henry that it would have that particular effect because he spent time in NL and his heart was removed (not a clue what that has to do with anything but…throwing it out there)

Maybe Henry’s under threat from someone/thing and aging him is a disguise? Maybe the potion was made using one of Malcolm’s hairs after he reverted to his older age after the stabbing, (like how Blue used August to make the potion for Sneezy and Belle)? Emma doesn’t wanna resort to that, but Hook’s trying to convince her it’s the only way to keep him safe? And when Henry finds out what’s going on, he just drinks the stuff before Emma can stop him, (doing something like that would be very in character for him)? Emma storms out of the restaurant, and Henry runs after her to give her the, “Sorry not sorry, it’s gonna be OK, mom,” speech?

That moment when you really should be falling asleep but instead you’re thinking about OUAT spoilers and you have a revelation that you just need to post.
Figured out a reason why Henry might need to be disguised or hidden in some way. If Hook’s arrested, and Emma’s hanging out with Hook, and his name obviously doesn’t show up in any real world database, so they run Emma’s name instead, (they’d have her name if she bails him out), and discover that that kid she’s hanging around with, she has no legal claim to him. Either there are magically fudged adoption records in the system showing Regina as his legal guardian, but she’s nowhere around right now, or, (more likely IMO), Henry was kidnapped as a newborn, and the cops manage to put the pieces together to figure out that he’s now living with his birth mother when he shouldn’t be legally. So the cops try to get Henry turned over to social services, and the way they prevent that, is they have him temporarily aged up so the authorities can no longer find him.

I wonder if this is a young Merlin, that Emma meet and didn’t believe in like she didn’t believe in Fairy tales and Neal can’t be the only one in our world from FL etc.
