1st: A sneaking suspicion is forming, Eric’s palace is clearly a re-hash of Xavier’s (aside from a few architectural features). If and only if its the same kingdom and Eric is a prince of that realm (and to my mind a wishy-washy wanderlust sort, reminiscent of Henry Snr. on the first point) dare I say Regina is coincidentally meddling in a cousin’s love life?
2nd: In Neverland we haven’t seen Regina be subjected to the same level of self-examination as everyone else (in the sense that it has imperiled the search for Henry). Peter has toyed with Hook, Rumple, Emma and Neal so far, what could he possibly hold over Regina’s head outside of Henry of course?

Hmm.
1. Yeah, maybe. It could be lazy set design, or it could be a deliberate hint.
2. Regina had plenty of navel gazing last season. Without her mummy issues and her newfound desire to find her son and prove her worth to him, as well as her hero’s turn to save Storybrooke last season…. I don’t know if there’s anything Pan could hold over her. Maybe Robin Hood, if Tinkerbell has let that one slip, but would Regina know or care if the name Robin Hood was mentioned? She only knows her 2nd Twoo Wuv has a lion tattoo. She doesn’t know his name or reputation or even what he looks like.
If you look carefully at the dock scene beyond the castle, the town buildings are similar to those when the Jones brothers sailed off scene. I think Eric’s Kingdom may be descended from that line of Kings. but I don’t know if it tied to Xavier or not. Xavier seems like he would have been raised to be ruthless enough to use poison, but Eric was much more romantic and sweet in nature.
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
I thought Eric’s castle just looked like the one he has in the Disney film.

When Snow and Ariel first walk in, they walk past a crest that I think looks similar to the crest that was hanging in Xavier’s castle, (haven’t done a direct comparison to check though). But the guards are wearing a crest that has something like a fish tail. And that one has a crown on it, similar to the crown that was on Liam’s satchel, but I dunno if it’s the same one, (from memory that one had 3 stars under the crown?).
If Eric is one of Regina’s cousins, I doubt that her messing with his love life is at all coincidental.
Prince Eric’s castle from the Disney film. I haven’t got screen shots of ONCE’s castle but I thought they looked similar?
Looks pretty matchy to me…
Here’s the crest the guards are wearing, which doesn’t match the crest on the walls…
Matchy style houses that KFC mentioned.
(The crown on Liam’s satchel didn’t match the one on Eric’s guards after all when I checked it.)
I think it’s probably just a coincidence because they probably didn’t want to make a completely brand new castle set so they recycled the first one. I think they just tried to change it to fit Eric’s castle. The casual viewer probably didn’t even notice the similarities (or that it’s the same one just “dressed up” differently).
