I haven’t really considered that angle before, but given K&H’s penchant for family angst, how could they resist explaining PP’s mommy issues? I like your idea about her having been taken away from him, but how about for a nice twist we make it that he doesn’t know the full story of what went on. Maybe his mother made a deal with a previous Dark One that resulted in her having to hand over her first born? So he feels all abandoned and it drove him to be a nefarious little bugger, but he only has half the facts of what really happened, and we’ll see him discover those facts in present day. (Haven’t fully thought that out yet, just throwing it out there.)
When I first thought about it for a fanfic that’ll never see the light of day because I lack the dedication to spend hours a week writing it I imagined his mother to have been THE Dark One at some point and he watched her die in front of him by the next one in the line (Zoso?), but while I feel giving away her first born seems too much repetitive already I like the premise that he doesn’t know the full story of what when on. I think it’d be interesting to see those details be unfolded to him.
I’m all up in the air about how I reckon they’ll handle Ursula. Will she be Regina? Will she be Rumple, or just someone Rumple worked with? Will the magical squid be a whole separate entity to the personification of Ursula? My preference is that Ursula be her own new character, but I just dunno which way they’ll end up going.
Gotta say, I never cease to be amused at the creativeness of some people… 😆

Slurpeez: Mmmmm. I don’t know. Doesn’t GG normally dress “Pretty” as apposed to form fitting. At Paley this year and at SDCC last year, she wasn’t wearing the form fitting outfits that Lana and JMo like to wear.

New thought…if the cause of PP’s mommy issues is in any way related to the Dark One, in that she was the Dark One, or the Dark One took her away from him somehow…is that why he (potentially) dedicated his existence to orchestrating this cause which will ultimately lead to the undoing of the Dark One?
Any of these ideas that involve PP being the way he is due to having lost his mother would make him just like Hook with the centuries long vengeance vendetta mentality thing. That could be interesting if everyone wants to go in guns blazing to take him out, but Hook empathises with him and wants to take a softer approach to try and make him change his ways. Because Hook now realises that you can change your ways, even if you’ve been stuck in that mindset for as long as you can remember. And then Emma will be all torn because on the one hand, PP needs taking out ASAP, but on the other hand, she generally empathises with Hook who’s specifically empathising with PP, and he could be all, “You offered me the chance to prove I can change, and now I wanna pay it forward, so help me reason with the rest of them.” (As a fan of Emo!Hook, I’ve decided this must happen.)

And I thought that gif of Whale as Ursula was priceless, but this totally tops it!

That would actually be sort of funny considering it wasn’t too long ago we had the, “What if they wanna have babies IRL,” discussion.

Building off of this. What if PP’s mother was Ursula. We know she can transform herself into a human, Vanessa. What if she did that, became the Dark One and then was klled by Zoso, hence PP’s hatred of the Dark One. *this is brain crack at its finest*

I don’t think Hook ever married Milah otherwise he would have mentioned it by now. I don’t consider Hook Emma’s father in law because Emma hasn’t married Neal and if she did Rumple would be her father in law.
Regina married Leopold making her Snow’s step-mother and thus Emma’s step grandmother.
Also, Hook said in the Crocodile that he’s “had many a man’s wife”. Since that was 300 years ago, what’s the odds that at least some of those wives could have gotten pregnant because of Hook before he moved on with his travels. What if there are present day relatives of Hook running around the likes of FTL and Storybrooke?

I think if GG became pregnant in real life, the pregnancy would be written into the story. Snow finding out she is pregnant would add more family drama to the Charmings’ lives without them having to be separated and try and find one another all the time. Snow and Charming could be happy that they actually get to be parents and raise a child whilst Emma may feel a bit of sibling jealousy that the new baby would get the childhood that she should’ve had.

Keeper of FelixJuly 21, 2013 at 9:59 am #201308SlurpeezParticipantWHY did Neal land in FTL? Where else would he have landed..
Here are my thoughts on why Neal possibly landed in FTL:
1) Neal said to Emma he never wanted to return there. However, maybe destiny has a sense of irony. Neal needed to return to the place where he originally was trying to escape for a sense of “kisma” or some other such reason. After all, Baelfire leaving FTL is the reason his dad created the curse, so maybe it’s up to Neal to help “restore balance” to post-apacolyiptic FTL.
2) Perhaps the magical bean does take a person wherever he or she needs to go. If so, then maybe the magic “sensed” Neal would need to arrive in a place where help would be (i.e. in the form of Mulan, Philip, and Aurora and possibly the healing water of Lake Nosotos). Neal being in FTL is somehow fortuitous because in meeting Philip, he might just discover that the land where lost souls go is also the same as NL. Also, by meeting Aurora, she can communicate with Henry, David and Snow via the “red room” (ie. the netherworld where a person goes while asleep). So, it is almost ‘providential’ that Neal meets them.

At least this time I can use Comic-Con fueled sleep deprivation delirium as an excuse, (got 2.5 hours sleep this morning & now it’s midnight & my eyes wanna close but my brain is all must speculate!) 😛

I’d like that, because right now the guy has no family, and it’d be interesting to see him come to terms with suddenly having relatives seek him out.
July 21, 2013 at 10:02 am #201310RumplesGirlKeymasterI agree that Neal ending up in FTL is probably “destiny” but is it DESTINY (as in fate, magic, ect) or is it PP in the disguise of destiny? Did PP/THO somehow know that Neal would end up back in FTL? Did they arrange it that way? Does PP/THO need Neal out of the way?
