Or maybe, as the writers mentioned imagination, perhaps the JR folks encounter creatures that take on familiar faces, one of which resembles Belle.
I don’t know, it’s just funny that the Disney Fairies movies start off with the “Tinker” part being a kind of job title but her name is actually Bell (the kind that rings though, not the french word for beautiful).
With the promise of Ariel actually out there, I ought to get back to dreaming up crack theories on her.
I think Ariel could be in NL, FTL or SB really–and I like the idea that she swam through the portal when the JR went through but not sure a portal works quite like that. It might only go one way.
If Ariel were cursed and in SB all along, it is possible that when magic returned she could regain her mermaid form just as Ruby regained her ability to shift into wolf form. Hopper’s situation was unique, since we were shown that he was not born a magical creature. Maybe the curse removed the blessing, but I don’t think it matters. I’d rather find out why the fairies are human sized now–can they transform to winged form again? We really don’t know anything that would rule out Ariel being one place versus another.

And it does seem like he’s about to experiment first hand what it was like for daddy Neal to be alone in an unknown world, fighting for his survival, doesn’t it?

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 22, 2013 at 12:13 am #201426PheeParticipantThanks for the youtube links! Gonna go watch right after I’ve posted this…
Then there’s the reaction to the reaction. Just reading through this thread I’ve seen a lot of posters generalizing all Swan Queen fans into a group of angry LGBT supporters who only watched because they wanted a gay relationship on the show. And that’s all based on one tweet from Adam. We don’t know how many hate tweets he or JMo got, nor what they were about. So it’s not really fair to say that the whole Swan Queen community is represented by the unknown fraction that took to twitter and tumbler.
If my comments came off as being too much of a generalisation, I apologise. Sometimes I tend to ramble, and then I try to not ramble, but then my thoughts end up not fully explained. Anyway, I think that in this case it has been turned into an LGBT issue. JMo has obviously gotten a considerable amount of feedback that is specific in that nature if she was prompted to issue a statement like this:
I fully support relationships of all kinds. Heterosexual and homosexual. I am insulted that people read into banter in press situations and assume anything else.
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10151806703143689&id=384069508688
So while not every disappointed SQ shipper is reacting on the grounds of the LGBT issue, there is at least an angry and vocal minority who are overshadowing this argument by automatically throwing around accusations of homophobia, and accusing someone of that isn’t something that should be thrown around lightly or ignorantly.
There are plenty, who will argue that the ship was based on story and the chemistry between the two actresses. I ship Hooked Queen but I’ll be the first to admit, the “un-intentional” allusions to that relationship where pretty overt. If Adam and Eddy didn’t intend for people to ship them, then why did they emphasize family, make a huge point that they are both Henry’s mothers and love him, and then have Regina and Emma join there magic in the finale in a big ball of energy that explodes at their pelvises. After that scene I actually did scratch my head and tell my friends, “Maybe they are going to do it.”
I’d totally not made the pelvic explosion correlation until reading your post. If someone was watching it through SQ goggles, I can totally see why it’d be obvious though, (like how I didn’t get that the bean was considered an iconic CS symbol until someone posted about it and I thought that yeah, I can see how you’d go there if you were watching it with a CS bias in mind, but it hadn’t registered for me personally).
As to the point of them having been shown as both being Henry’s mothers and emphasizing them as family, I don’t connect that to them being set up as a romantic partnership. Plenty of people hold the view that SwanFire can still be effective co-parents to Henry even if they’re not romantically involved. Personally SF is my endgame, but I’m just saying that the discussion is out there that two parents can parent a child together and they can be a healthily functioning family without them having to be together in a romantic relationship sense. So no matter who Henry’s parents are, I don’t think that should have any bearing on who Emma is romantically involved with. I don’t consider SF being Henry’s bio-parents as the big foreshadowing reason for them getting back together, so I also can’t see SQ being Henry’s mothers as a foreshadowing reason for them getting together.
I could argue that if they did intend for SQ to be a realistic option, then why have they shown Regina being hell bent on destroying Emma’s parents? Because setting aside the other arguments for why it’s not a realistic ship like all the family tree stuff and the both characters being straight stuff, that right there is something major that makes the possibility of SQ an impossibility to me. If someone hated my mother with every fibre of their being like that, I would not ever be able to trust that someone with my own heart.
They showed us Snow, on the floor, sobbing over her husband who she believed had just been killed by Regina’s orders. Regina stalked in and stood over them, demanding to know where newborn Emma was, and Snow likely believed that Regina would have happily killed newborn Emma with her own two hands to prevent her from being able to grow up and break the Curse. IMO there is no way they could have written a believable situation where Snow, having experienced that, would be able to come to a place where she could give her blessing to SQ. She would always be afraid for her daughter’s safety, even if Emma’s big enough to look after herself now.
All other arguments aside, that’s the crux of why SQ has just never seemed like viable option to me. Because of the history they gave these characters, Snowing’s child and the EQ being in love just does not compute for me and they could have never written it in a way that I’d have believed it.
So they said Tinker Bell has a surprising connection to someone on the panel besides Colin/Hook, so that means Tinker Bell’s connection won’t be with the Blue Fairy. I wonder who it is.
I’m still pulling for it to be Belle lol, although I don’t know how that would fit into what we know about her past. Unless it was before she met Rumple.
In the thread for Adam’s responses to Twitter questions are tweets confirming that ep3 will be Regina centric, and that’s the ep that the supposed Tink casting call was for. I haven’t been to check yet if there’s been more discussion on that since I was last online, but it could possibly imply that Regina is the one that Tink will have a surprising connection to.
