Question: Can someone ask about the 6 months missing before Bae arrived at England 😮

what would you like to exactly? What Bae was doing for six months? Trying to survive, probably.

There aren’t 6 months missing before he arrived in England.  He came out of the portal in Kensington Gardens in London, lived on the streets of London for 6 months, then found the Darling house.

If I were gonna ask anything in relation to that situation, I’d ask them why the bloody hell Neal told Emma that this world wasn’t his first stop when it apparently was?!

or someone could ask that question why he told Emma that this world wasn’t his first stop so what was his 1st stop this could also be in the missing 6 months?

Unless we see otherwise, Bae spent those six months on the London streets. He went straight from FTL to London, as we saw in SSTR. It was either bad writing or a grave oversite or something not yet explained.

Then how did Bae get the hat that he is wearing in New England, there has to be an explanation as why he had a hat when he didn’t have one in FL. I still don’t buy the 6 months latter thing surviving on the streets.

There are a million ways a boy in London at that time could get a hat. Like stealing. Which Bae was clearly doing, as we see him break into the Darling household. Also, that hat is fairly typical of boys in that period. In movies like Oliver Twist and the like, boys almost always wear those hats. It’s a signifer of time and location and status. That hat says: poor, orphan, street urchin. Here. All I did was Google “Oliver Twist movie” and these are the images that came up.

We already know that A and E were making Oliver Twist references with Bae in SSTR, the hat just adds to that subtext. It’s not a conspiracy or a clue. It is a way the costume designer locates the character, and more importantly, the audience in time and place.

For what it is worth, I sent “Why did Bae say this world was not his first stop, but he went from FTL to 1890s London?” to Mr. Keck. Fingers crossed it makes its way to SDCC.
