Maybe coming to terms with Emma’s magic is what will help Neal come to terms with Rumple’s magic! Oh. The feels that inspires.

All magic comes with a price!

Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing

We’re all expecting her to be in Neverland or possibly Storybrooke after that teaser. But what if she’s actually in the EF? What if she is the one who pulled Neal to shore to save him drowning like she did to Prince Eric in the movie. Once she saw MAP coming, she ran away.
It would also make sense if she is in FTL to tie in with what Regina said in ‘Skin Deep’ about her mermaid problem and Rumple’s story about the Ink.

RumplesGirl–the feels! I would love that parallel.

Have seen that suggested in a couple different places since the finale. To me though, it doesn’t look like he’s wet. His clothes, face, hair, all look dry IMO, so I think he just landed on the beach, not in the water.
I reckon they had him land on the beach purely so they could show the Safe Haven in the background to quickly establish where he was…of course, then they left that prop rock there and everyone debated if he was in NL…so that sorta backfired if it’s what they were aiming for.

My current thinking on the Ariel/Regina connection is in a rambling post in the Hookriel thread. Haven’t worked that ink into my headcanon yet though.
July 23, 2013 at 9:44 am #201630kfchimeraParticipantWell if Ariel did save him, perhaps he dried off by the time MAP found him.
I was thinking, maybe Regina’s “Mermaid” problem was that the mermaids were not following her authority and had powerful magic, so she couldn’t control them. Perhaps they were attacking her ships, hurting her kingdom’s trade.
By that point in the story, did Regina know she was going to cast the curse? Could she have anticipated that someone might stay behind in FTL with powerful enough magic or not? I’m thinking that’s not likely, as she did bring Rumpel and Mal over so doubt it really occurred to Regina or Rumpel that someone could do what Cora did.
That makes me wonder something: What did Regina plan to do with JUST Henry alive in FTL? She didn’t know about MAP surviving, so did she think it would be just the two of them forever? Maybe she did. I guess she doesn’t think these things out–or maybe that leads into the inspiration behind Bates Motel or something within the OUAT versions 😉

I don’t think so she did. She brings up her mermaid problem in Skin Deep, so that’s at least a few years before Snow and Charming get married in the pilot. And we know she didn’t get the idea for the Curse until the wedding day when Rumple told her about “other lands.” Right? Man, I really need to rewatch the Cricket Game. Keb, help a girl out if you see this.

😆 Seriously though, it’s a good question. Maybe she did hear about other people being there if she found out details of Snow and Emma’s adventures? But even so, she’d only think there were 3 people there, so the place wouldn’t be that much fun to live in. I’m willing to chalk it up to Regina not having thought it through properly, because that’s how she rolls, acts on impulse before thinking things through completely.
