Maaaaaaaaaaaybe. I think right now I’m so focused on the first 11 that I forget we’ve got 11 after that. lol.
If there is something non-PP for the second 11, my guess would be that it is THO in our world. GOAT didn’t know they were working for PP but they were getting orders from someone here, so we’ve got them to deal with. I still think Dorothy is in charge of THO here in this world.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 27, 2013 at 8:04 pm #202404SlurpeezParticipantHmmmmm. I understand what you’re saying but what would be the point of making NL and PP so nefarious if he isn’t someone we all should fear (Rumple’s words)? If even the Dark One fears PP then he sounds like a major force to be reckoned with. I could sorta see it playing out that Tinkerbell is a bigger baddie than PP but I still think PP is the big puppet master of S3, not some unnamed person or group (keeping in mind that the HO is just a pawn of PP).

July 27, 2013 at 8:11 pm #202405RumplesGirlKeymasterI agree with Slurpeez. Having something be even bigger and badder than PP is almost a bit too much like S2, when you think about it. Almost the entire season was about Cora being the big bad, but in reality it was GOAT and THO. The two weren’t connected but in the end it was THO our SB’ers really needed to fear.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 27, 2013 at 8:59 pm #202406chiannaParticipantRather than PP being a dragon I would prefer an enemy being slowly built up like Belle and Neal investigating the home office in SB/LWM which then becomes the main enemy in the second half of s3.
Of curse that leads to S4 and the question What’s Next?
Season 2 got lost because the show became invested in setting things up for Neverland I’d hate for that to happen again.
July 27, 2013 at 10:43 pm #202413PheeParticipantWe’ve been led to believe that Peter Pan is the big bad and I think that’s the point. We’re supposed to believe Peter Pan is the big bad when in fact he may be the dragon (the second in command). We know they’re treating this upcoming season as 2 mini seasons and saying that, I think Peter Pan is going to be the big bad for the first 11 episodes which will end with the JR heroes defeating him and the spring 11 episodes will be where it is revealed that there is an even bigger bad behind Peter Pan. PP may be in charge of GOAT but theres someone in charge of PP.
PP actually taking orders from someone ranked above him wouldn’t make sense to me. He’s traditionally characterised as a kid who plays by his own rules and does whatever he wants. He does not follow orders from any adult. PP is not someone who does anyone’s bidding. Judging by what we’ve been led to believe, K&H are gonna take PP’s traditionally known traits an amplify them to make him someone you truly don’t want to mess with because he’s bad news. If it’s then revealed that his actions were something that someone else told him to do, that turns him into a toothless lion. Why would they build him up as being someone awesome and powerful if he’s actually just a lame kid doing what his superior tells him? That is not who PP is, and however K&H may tweak their version of him, I really cannot see them making him subordinate to anyone, because it would make him appear like a powerless kid who really isn’t all that special after all. PP is no one’s minion, never has been, and to turn him into one would be a bit of an insult to such an iconic character. PP is Eddy’s fave story of all time. They’re not gonna diss PP tradition and make him less powerful than we all traditionally know him to be.
Now, do I think that there’s someone else out there who made PP the way he is? Almost definitely, because this is OUAT where evil isn’t born, it’s made. Whoever that is that corrupted PP in the first place may well be the next big bad. But I believe that what’s going on in NL right now is all down to PP. There’s no one in a more superior position telling him what to do. If NL is a scary place, ruled by a scary guy, that’s PP’s own actions making it so.
Again, I go back to the finale dialogue that started this whole debate. Felix was speaking with definite knowledge of his master’s abilities, and the way the dialogue was constructed, he was clearly referring to PP. Therefore, PP is the one calling the shots in NL.
July 28, 2013 at 8:33 am #202444PriceofMagicParticipantI just think Neverland and Peter Pan are not necessarily what they appear. RC was saying that what Rumple says is not necessarily what he means. Rumple said “someone we should fear” which has led us to believe that PP is the one Rumple fears. Is he, is that really what Rumple said? Can a 17 year old actor really go up against RC’s Rumple and actually be a threat? I’m not sure, because RC is such a high calibre actor, a lot of actors would struggle to have a presence equal to his.
We know Neverland is being introduced alongside Ariel. What if the real villain of Neverland is Ursula? It would seem odd introducing Ariel into the story of Neverland with out introducing the villain of her Story as well?
What if “the heart of the truest believer” is a Chekov’s gun? We think it’s Henry but what if Ursula has PP’s heart and she is controlling him and has been for ages. Everyone would think PP is evil and it would come across that way but really Ursula is the one behind it all?

Keeper of FelixJuly 28, 2013 at 9:23 am #202457RumplesGirlKeymasterPoM makes an interesting point; many adult actors struggle to go up against RC and come away even close to his level of amazing. But they did cast a 17yr old. They could have gone older, so many of us thought they would for this exact reason. The 17yr old does have some impressive history, like the PotC franchise and the Pinocchio movie (which I’ve heard many people speak highly of) so his acting ability has to be pretty good. I just don’t know if we can hinge an entire “PP’s not the real big bad” on the acting level of a 17 yr old when, like I said, even the adult actors can’t compare with RC.
I still think making PP just a pawn in the NL mythology is a disservice to a story A and E have been dying to do since S1.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 28, 2013 at 9:38 am #202460PriceofMagicParticipantPP has always been the protagonist to Hook’s antagonist. They’ve gone with the shades of grey for all characters so far so I don’t see why they would suddenly make PP all evil. PP is essentially abducting children and holding them prisoner, I don’t see how that can be sympathetic unless Pan is forced to do that against his will by someone else.
In regards to PP not taking orders from anyone else, he may not be aware that is what he was doing. When Cora controlled Aurora heart, she made Aurora say what she wanted with out Aurora even being aware of it. HAving Ursula controlling PP would also tie Ariel into the Neverland story more since it has been shown on the show that the fairytales are linked in some way.
