Conflict of interest! Chance to see ‘California Solo’

I am faced with a great conflict.

I just found out that Robert Carlyle’s movie California Solo

is playing approximately an hour north of my house on Sunday. It’s only really been shown at film festivals so far, and it looks SUPER good and apparently won’t be released outside of festivals until the new year. This is the only time it’ll be in Canada until then.

So I have to now decide if I want to stay at home and watch Once (which I can watch online on Monday, at least) and save money and time, or drive an hour to get to see the movie. Which I do want to see. But I don’t know. xD What do you guys think? I CAN’T DECIDE. O_O

Hmm, that’s quite a predicament. Do you have a DVR recorder? If you do, DVR Once and watch California Solo.

Well, CTV (the channel that airs Once in Toronto) does put it up online the next day. So as of Monday, I’ll have access to it. I’ve just been very excited about the episode and don’t know if it would be worth the gas money and stuff. haha. I guess I should have made my question a bit more specific on whether anyone had heard if it was good and thinks it would be worth going.

I’ll miss the hype of Once on the night… but I guess there’s always the Wed podcast and stuff too, right?

do it! worse come to worse, it magically appears online at around 9 – 9:30. the same evening (most likely it will be available event before your back) so you will have a double dose of Robert Carlyle on sunday. 😆 and tell us how it was, I missed it on the festival circuit this year.

Hahaha, that’s true! It’s at 7 PM, so I’ll probably be back home around 11, I’d guess. I think I will do it. It will provide me with something different than my usual routine. A spur of the moment film festival adventure. xD

I’ll make sure I’ll report back. Maybe I’ll write up a little review or something. I can’t guarantee how objective it will be if I start fangirling, but I don’t think too many people will mind. LOL Thanks for the input. I am occasionally very bad at decision making. And by occasionally I mean 90% of the time.
