Is Cora The Queen of hearts ?
This is all the evidence I can find wich supports it:
-Cora or Corazon means heart in spanish.
-She takes prettymuch everyones heart that she can get near enough too.
-She went through the looking glass to wonderland, we asume.
-In ‘Hat Trick’ Jefferson asks Regina if she knows the Queen of Hearts, she answers “Better than most”This is all I can find wich contradicts it:
-Cora or Kore is another name for the greek harvest godess Persephone. The fact that she was a harvest godess makes me think connection- millers daughter and spinning gold of straws.
-the Queen of Hearts chops of peoples heads, this is not a trademark of Coras that we have seen in any other situation so far.
-How will OUaT writers explain that the Queen is veiled and speaking through a phone-thing in ‘Hat Trick’ ?Other then, it was a secret that she was Cora. Unless it’s someone else- who….usually dress that way 😕 or something along those lines.
– She went through the looking glass. But when Alice went through the looking glass she didn’t meet the Queen of Hearts- She met The Red Queen. These two Queens have a habit of being confused with eatchother (wich would make it fun if it was exactly what was happening now and OUaT writers thought they’d play that trick on us again 😀 )
-(Ups forgot this and edited it in) Why would Cora, as the Queen of Hearts, not acknowledge Regina as Queen in ‘Hat Trick’ ? Regina being Queen is what she wanted all along.Maybe you can sence that I lean more to the contradictions of Cora being the Queen of Hearts.
But what is your opinion ? and please bring more evidence to either ideas, if you’ve seen something I haven’t.Rumours says next week we will all know for sure 😀

Would just like to point out something..:)
to your last point in the ‘Contradicts’.
I think that Cora feels like she gave Regina ‘everything’…power, royalty, all this stuff. It came from Cora’s hard work. And then Regina just stabs her in the back. Cora (in my opinion) maybe feels that Regina doesn’t deserve the title? Like, Cora gave it to her, Regina betrayed her…why would she be a queen in Cora’s mind? At least, that is how I thought of it. 🙂 At first it is what Cora wants. Probably to control her daughter/teach her and stuffs. But now, Regina has made it clear she isn’t going to be a team with Cora. So wouldn’t she become an enemy right off?

November 28, 2012 at 8:51 pm #162716GrimmsisterParticipantYes could be- But could also be, that what she still wants is control over her daughter first and formost and
I think she still believes she can get that control, if she can only get close enough, that’s why she is coming to Storybrook, I believe. Regina being a Queen, just makes that even better in Coras mind.
I think in a twisted way, she thinks she is just being loving to her daughter that way.November 29, 2012 at 7:28 pm #162854ZieraParticipant@medchen wrote:

I think in a twisted way, she thinks she is just being loving to her daughter that way.Judging from the fact that they met again and battled…I’m thinking that maybe she already tried that approach. It didn’t work so well…apparently. I think that when she is going to look for Regina, she is out for revenge with a cruel hand. This is confirmed in the first sneak peek for 'Queen of Hearts'.

November 29, 2012 at 7:37 pm #162855GrimmsisterParticipantIt is ?? didn’t notice. will go back and rewatch 🙂

Back 🙂
I don't think it really confirms it 100 %. True the speaker voice says something about a devastating act of vengance. But whom he speaks of we dont know for sure, could be all of the four villains, could be one….
I realice most people thinks Cora is the Queen of hearts and I agree lots of stuff speaks too that. But I can not be convinced of this until I know for sure, or see some hard on evidence. Because I like the idea of her being Kore the harvest goddess more 😉 And I like to think that who the Queen of hearts is, will be a HUGE surprise.November 29, 2012 at 7:54 pm #162858ZieraParticipant🙂 Or so I thought. it was what Regina said to Henry about Cora…I think.. 😛

November 29, 2012 at 8:01 pm #162860GrimmsisterParticipantOh ! Well if you find it, please post it here if you will 🙂
November 29, 2012 at 8:10 pm #162864ZieraParticipantOH! Sorry, my bad. I think we both misunderstood each other. I meant to say that that was my theory of what happened. I was only talking about the fact that Cora doesn’t seem like she will be coming back to control her daughter. lol 😛 🙂
Here is the quote that makes me somewhat sure of this: What I know is my mother will destroy everything I love. And that means you.
You could also take it in a way that Cora will do that to brake Regina, then have the influence over her similar to Daniel’s case.
Anyways, sorry about not being clear, haha. 😉

November 29, 2012 at 8:25 pm #162867GrimmsisterParticipantThats Okay 🙂
About the quote. Those are Reginas words and her feelings about her mother. Still Cora could (in a twisted way as I mentioned) Think that she is just doing what is best for her daughter. To control her and to keep her in her place, like with the barrier spell. Because a mother always knows best…
I would like to ask you. How do you think the writers will explain the veil and the speakerphone that the Queen of Hearts had in Hat Trick if she turns out to be Cora ?
November 29, 2012 at 8:32 pm #162869GrimmsisterParticipantWait just had an idea of that myself- Could be a impersonater spell gone wrong and she was stuck with that for a while. Like Hermione Granger when she turns half cat in one of the Harry Potter movies 😆
