I don’t care if Rumpel has it coming, he’s my favorite character. I’ll cry like a newborn baby if anything happens to him. My head already hurts from all the stress this show is giving me! 😡

I actually strongly expect that is what is about to happen. Especially if Cora has Rumple’s dagger.

Ah, of course. But if you notice, all the other villains, be it Cora, Regina or Hook, they paid their prices in some proportion already. Back in FTL Regina lost her battle with the Charmings and was banished from the land, nearly executed! In SB she lost her Mayor’s position and people were THAT close to killing her. She also lost Henry and everyone hates her.
Cora was stuck in mad Wonderland without her family for a long time and Hook lost Milah.
I’m not saying they paid their prices fully but if you notice Rumple caused even more havoc, playing on desperate souls, beating people with his cane or changing them into rats, and he was even the one who played on the buttons of our villains – yet he didn’t have to pay any consequences EVER. Even if he went to Granny’s diner (him and Belle’s meals), people would just leave him alone and not make any remarks on how come he’s there or reach for a knife… Yes, he lost his son but it was his own fault for being a coward, not a consequence of his wrongdoings.
So all in all, yes, he did have it coming, probably way more than any other villains.

I agree that Rumpel has some major karma coming his way, but he fact that it’s Cora and Regina going after him and not the Charmings gives me cause for concern. Set reports say that Charming was at the shop but Cora and Regina used magic to weaken him. So, Cora and Regina are not only going after Rumpel, but the Charmings as well. That’s why I’m not so quick to jump on the “Rumpel has it coming” train. Hurting Rumpel is fine, but why is Charming getting punished?

There’s a good chance that this particularly scene has nothing to do with punishing Rumpel, but more to do with Cora finally getting her hands on the world’s most powerful weapon.

Actually, we don’t know if Charming has been attacked by Regina/Cora or Rumple himself, just that he’s been thrown away onto the street.
