OK, since sometime now I’ve been thinking that the Blue Fairy could have been the one who wrote the book. But at some point in the finale, I think I heard Mr. Gold saying that he used some of the love potion on a parchment or something like that. So, did I hear right? Could that have been the book? I mean, the book definitely had a little bit of magic that was triggered to show Emma her memories from FTL. Also, as Rumple he has always been poking his nose in everyone’s business so who better than him to know all the stories?

Also, he has lived for centuries so I think that apart from turning straw to gold, he could have had time for another hobby, like writing a diary! 😛 Maybe one of his entries (in the diary) could have been “Deary diary, today I blew up a fairy! It was so much fun!!!” *creepy-weird-evil laugh* 😉

Rumpel was talking about the scroll that the dark curse was written on. When Regina goes to get the dark curse back from Maleficent in Ep 2 she takes it from the orb on top of Maleficent’s staff and it is a rolled up scroll of parchment.

During Finale, I started thinking Jefferson wrote the book. How come he knew where to find Belle? Even with his telescopes, how could he peer into the hospital basement?

I think that Jefferson was just watching everything going on and he may have been loitering around the hospital and saw that place. And if he knew about Belle from fairytale land which he must have then he might have thought she could be down there. Who knows though.

Jefferson is almost unique in Storybrooke for having been aware of the passage of time; it’s been Groundhog Day for him for 28 years. He could have learned all the secrets in Storybrooke, and as long as Regina didn’t find out, nobody would even remember talking to him. Maybe all he meant by “stuck in this house” was “staying under the queen’s radar”.

Jefferson’s existence in Storybrooke is a big problem. Wasn’t he left in Wonderland? So how could the curse reach across a WHOLE SEPARATE REALM and pull just him into Storybrooke? Unless the curse brought everyone from Wonderland to Storybrook. But geez, Storybrooke isn’t that big of a town. And if it dragged everyone from Wonderland did it bring other realms as well?

EDIT: Whoa! I may have to take some of that back! I’m re-watching the episode and Rumple says a line “True love miss swan; The only magic powerful enough to transcend realms and break any curse.” So, maybe, for whatever reason, only Jefferson WAS pulled out of Wonderland.

Okay, so new Theory – Jefferson acquired his Hat from Rumple. That’s how Rumple knew of Jefferson.

I don’t remember the exact quote, but Jefferson said something to Regina about her dragging him to SB. I don’t think he was affected by the curse, but that Regina brought him there specifically because she knew she might need his abilities. They also hinted in “Hat Trick” that there is a strong (possibly familial) tie between them that goes way back, so I think there is a lot more to the Regina/Jefferson story than we know at this point. Either way, I adore him.
