The character description would certainly fit with Hook. If Killian lost his mother, that adds a whole new dimension to him having played a role in Bae losing his mother too. This makes me hope even more that Hook and Bae met in Neverland.
Yes, that would certainly add some deeper layers to Hook’s story and his rivalry with Peter Pan (especially if Bae is indeed Peter).
The little boy who was cast as “Owen” is really adorable with those piercing blue eyes. I could definitely see him as a young Killian. I wonder if we’ll get to see Killian Jones’ dad be Davey Jones! Perhaps pirating is a family business. The casting call for the father of “Owen” is:
Ben, a 40-year-old, kind widower who is trying to help his son deal with the loss of his mother.
While the description doesn’t sound very fierce, perhaps “Ben” resorted to pirating after losing his wife to help take his mind and his son’s off of their grief.
The casting call for Owen is:
Owen, a precocious, strong-willed kid who isn’t afraid to speak his mind — but his free-spirited, lively personality is all a facade, as he’s secretly dealing with the tragic death of his mother.
That sounds a lot like adult Killian Jones, who is constantly making snarky remarks towards women and using his bravado to cover up the fact that he lost his true love, Milha, at the hands of his arch enemy, Rumplestiltskin. This could be where Killian learned to cover up his emotions, by making jokes as a facad for his grief over his mother. It’s interesting that Emma, who also used to hide behind a wall to protect her vulnerable, orphan self, saw right through Hook and vice-versa.

Has anyone seen the SyFy miniseries “Neverland?” If you haven’t and have Netflix, I really recommend it, it’s really quite good, the digital effects and scenery are breathtaking. Anyway, the main point I’m drawing is: in “Neverland” Hook raises Peter Pan because he made a promise to Pan’s mother, with whom Hook was deeply in love, despite Hook’s hatred for Pan’s father. OUaT is known for turning the original fairy tales on their head and what would cause more drama than Rumple’s greatest enemy raising his son b/c of Milah. And going back to The Outsider when Hook made mention of Bae not wanting to be found and he was doing the boy a favor, it could reference that he knew NealFire Pan."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 25, 2013 at 8:44 pm #169995obisgirlParticipant@slurpeez108 wrote:

or if this boy is Killian as a young boy, it could be that the early death of his mother created ‘mommy’ issues for him later in life.

I’ve got this image of them spending a whole weekend completely immersed in every writing and movie about Peter Pan, totally geeking out, madly taking notes and throwing around ideas for who their Pan was gonna be.

This is the theory I’ve been hearing tossed around on a couple of other websites. Can’t say when it comes to his personality…we really only know PC not the real Prince James…but he did lose his mother and the kid looks like he could be a young PC or Prince James.

King George’s wife…the mother of the real Prince James (PC’s Twin)…not Ruth who raised PC.
January 28, 2013 at 1:49 am #170283evilqueenParticipantBut did King George’s wife actually die? As far as I know it was something to do with her being cursed to be infertile and either getting mad or isolated… Or am I remembering it wrong?
