Excellent point! They’d hardly get an American kid to fake a Brit accent. Adult actors have enough trouble with that, so they couldn’t expect a kid to be able to master it. I actually think he looks more like Colin than he does Josh, but given the accent thing, I’d say he’s gotta be a young James and/or Charming.
Didn’t know about the nationalities of Benjamin Stockham and John Pyper-Ferguson, but that makes me even more convinced that it’s not Hook but most likely Prince James and King George because they would have likely found a younger actor that sounded like Colin O’Donoghue if it were a younger Hook.

But did King George’s wife actually die? As far as I know it was something to do with her being cursed to be infertile and either getting mad or isolated… Or am I remembering it wrong?
She was cursed and could not have children…yes..that’s why they got PC’s twin from Ruth through a deal with Rumple…but she at some point she died…we have yet to see her in the show but she was definitely not around when we first meet the real James and he is killed. Like I said it’s just a theory I’ve heard floating around…lot of people think the kid looks a lot like a young Josh Dallas.
I have a different theory. I don’t think King George’s wife died. I think he was married to CORA at one point. After their marriage, she purposefully drank the potion so she’d be barren and so escape giving Rumple her first-born child. When the king learned this, he divorced her quietly, and she later married Henry Sr.

I still want to cling to the theory that “Owen” could be a younger Hook. Who says American kids can’t perform with British accents? Lindsay Lohan did a wonderful English accent in the 1998 version of The Parent Trap.
My other theory is that “Owen” could be a young huntsman, before he lost his family to be raised by wolves. We know that we’re going to see Jamie Dornan on set again in the same episode. 😀

The theory part was not in reference to the first sentence but to the theory of the kid being a Young Prince James. That first part it just facts from the actual episode.

Interesting.

I’ve entertained the idea that Cora was George’s lost wife, but that was back when I wasn’t convinced that Henry had been royalty. The new info we have about The Miller’s Daughter has made me re-evaluate though.
We now know that they were casting for a young Prince Henry, and for his father the King, who has problems with his gold supply, but Henry’s marriage will fix it. So it’s safe to assume that that’s gonna be the traditional Rumple story where he helps a girl spin straw into gold and she marries royalty. I can’t see that story playing out if Cora’s been previously married to some other king. She’d be damaged goods and not a reliable candidate to help save the kingdom, if she’s previously had a failed marriage to another royal family.
However, what I can see happening is that Cora’s in a loveless marriage to Henry, George is having issues with his wife being cursed, and the two of them have a torrid affair that results in baby Regina.

That’s quite possible…I have wondered if Cora wasn’t once in love with George and he loved her (but she wasn’t his true love) and when he met his wife to be(his true love)…he dumped Cora….and that Cora out of jealousy and revenge was the one that cursed George’s wife so she could not have children. This could have happened before or after she met Henry Sr. If it was an affair after she married Henry(like you suggested) then she could have had the satisfaction of having Regina as George’s biological offspring knowing that George’s true love could never have children of her own…just seems like a Cora thing to do.

OMG that would be SO Cora! 😈 That could relate back to Rumple asking Regina why she wanted to learn magic, if her mother had had a specific reason for wanting to learn as well, (to make a potion to make George’s wife barren). Regina wanted magic to get back her love. Cora wanted magic to get back at her love.
