    Well hello everyone !

I have been reading this forum for a veeeery long time and had totally forgotten my password lol I felt like I needed to bring this up.

So, in the book Mary Margaret reads, she talks about ”craddle cap” which is a GREEN rash on the baby’s head. I don’t know if you googled the symptoms but it strangely looks like the rash the baby Rose McGowan was holding in her twitter pic a few weeks ago.

Zelena’s statement about babies being stronger than we think and that it ”goes away” makes me think it could be one of the reason Cora sent her away.

    Thoughts ??

Cradle cap really isn’t that big of a deal. Lots of babies have it. One of mine did. It’s really yellow, not green & is easily treated with shampoo.  If Cora sent her baby away for having cradle cap that would make no sense. The babies being stronger than you think line may be Zelena referring to herself, though.

Her words about cradle cap struck me as a particularly obscure piece of knowledge for a wicked witch to possess. Something only parents or people who have been around young babies would know, or people who look after infants for a living.

A thought struck me when she was talking to Snow White; does she have a child/children of her own? If her real motive was to get revenge for something done to her child… now THAT would be a plot twist.

I took the exchange more as just a way to get Snow & WW to interact, and to show that although we’ve seen Snow attempting to be a mother to Emma, this child is actually her first baby.  As @3princesses said, cradle cap is common and most people have at least heard of it before.  The only thing I don’t think of when I think of cradle cap is the color green, so maybe they were attempting to show the WW’s sensitivity to the color.  If they wanted to come up with something obscure that the WW should – but might not – know as a midwife, or bring up a condition that would cause the mother to abandon the child, there are a plethora of other things they could have described.  Really gross stuff.  And those books are full of those gross things – I swear I think they’re actually written to scare the crud out of expectant mothers, not educate! 🙂

Well, I think that is a very curious coincidence.
