SO I was thinking of a crazy theory for season 3…what if…Henry is not THE boy in the prophecy but instead the boy is Peter Pan!!! In a way Henry did lead him back to Bae but he lost him again… what if there is more to it….In a post finale interview with Eddy/Adam, they stated that Rumple/Peter have a history, and that Rumple is going to learn the unfoldings of the Seer prophecy the hard way…SO maybe Peter Pan could lead him back to Bae/Henry, but maybe the price Rumple has to pay to get them back is giving up his dark powers to Peter…mmmmm interesting….Why? Maybe Peter wants the dark powers so he can turn back the clock…maybe he is ageing, and as we know that is Peter’s worst fear, he could be growing up because as time passed he became darker and more mischievous loosing his inner child…
What do you think? Possible? Too Crazy? Too naive of a theory?

Baelfire and Peter are great candidates, but I’ll throw another random darkhorse out: David, who’s backstory heavily crossed paths with Rumplestiltskin. My main reason for including him as a candidate, is the likelihood something big happens for David in the plot. The guy was the wallpaper of the cast all of Season 2, there to hold a gun and comfort Snow White. Knowing these writers, they won’t plan on one of the BIG characters taking such a backseat. Whether he’s the boy in the prophecy or not, they’ll make him feel important again, somehow – and likely wouldn’t have relegated him so much this season if they weren’t making up for it later.

Very Interesting, it would be a nice twist, and It would be nice for Charming to get a more juicy storyline next season.

I also wonder if the shadow is Pan or just a minion.May 13, 2013 at 4:26 pm #193848shinysephirothParticipantI think his undoing has to do with him just not being Dark anymore: Henry will help Rumple become a good guy. 🙂

That is what I am thinking too the writers stated it doesn’t have to mean death ❓

I am both glad that we get to see the prophecy explained in its fully glory (rather than a rush job) but I’m certainly left hungry and wanting more!
