So congrats to those of you who nailed that Amara was Cyrus’s mother.

What do you think about how Cyrus and his brothers became genies? Were you shocked? Do you think Cyrus can free them? And can he free Amara?

I really liked Cyrus’s backstory (I like when theories come true). Cyrus was a bit of a bad boy and I like how the years in the bottle tempered him.

The twist that Cyrus’s life (and his brothers!) were forfeit for saving their mother was really sad, but also exactly what I expected. Makes me wonder, though, why did Amara know so much about magic?

I think Cyrus and his brothers will get their freedom back, but I think Amara will have to die for that to happen. I don’t see Nyx being okay with freeing Cyrus and his brothers AND letting Amara live if she gets her water back. And getting the water back would probably kill Amara anyway…

Also, I really want Cyrus’ younger brother (’cause Cyrus looked like he was probably the middle brother) to be Aladdin. He just looked like Aladdin to me. *shrug* 🙂

He did look like Aladdin! I have yet to figure out how he and Jasmine fit into this story; but I’m cool with Aladdin being the younger brother of Cyrus.

I like it! The younger brother as Aladdin.  Is it his lamp that looks like the one from the movie or the older brother’s? Maybe that brother is Aladdin’s genie ?

I am happy Amara=Cyrus’ mother. I’m still confused how exactly Cyrus will return the water to the Well of Wonders in order to lift the curse on his brothers.  Cyrus poured the water on his mother, and any excess water would have evaporated in a matter of hours. How can the actual water be returned? Unless perhaps the water means the blood of Amara. I’m still wondering about how that will work. Also, would Will be set free along with Cyrus’ brothers, assuming Cyrus does manage to return the water (whatever that means)?

I really like that they finally revealed Cyrus’s backstory. And I love that they made him have a bit of a wild streak, until he gets punished by being turned into a genie. I feel like he’s not so one-dimensional anymore. He has regret and remorse for the mistakes that he made that cost him his family.

I’m also intrigued that Amara is his mom. Though LOL she looks sooo young to be a mom of a bunch of 20 year olds… Perhaps she has longevity? Did she have magic back when she had her sons with her? I would assume so since she knows so much about magic. And did she keep herself alive just to track her sons down? They made her seem evil since she frighten the villagers and gave Jafar poisoned to kill a man. I want to know more about her backstory.

Agreed, I really loved how they gave Cyrus some more layers by showing who he used to be.

Yes, one of the brothers has to be the one from Aladdin, surely. The younger brother was so sweet, so I wouldn’t mind seeing him again if/when they do Aladdin and Jasmine’s story on the main show.

Well, I liked it. This plot twist was probably really surprising to people who don’t go to forums, and it seems like the natural way to continue the plot. But since the beginnig of this month alone we had one episode of OUAT and two episode of OUATIW and the amount of “surprising” plot twists was 4! And WHY do everyone has to be related?!? This is getting ridicules!
