Depends. If they somehow change the story while referencing it, then yes, that’s copyright infringement. If they somehow just mention “A yes, there’s a Neverland”, then no.

It looks like he summoned Rumple in the woods, just like Rumple did with Zoso centuries ago. And August was looking at a drawing as if he had never seen it before and needed to know what to find. He may be the great great grandson of Baelfire or something and heard about the dagger through family legend. Either way I can’t wait to see this episode.

I did see that and immediately, I thought, there is no way the Stranger is Pinocchio. I really don’t think there are many people in FT world who actually knew about the dagger.
Horder’s dead, the original Dark One is dead. The only other person who knew about the dagger’s existence is Baelfire, so it makes sense that the Stranger’s real purpose for coming to Storybrooke all along, it was to find the dagger so he can stop his father.
Thank you Lissy for the screen-caps! 😀 😀
THIS is also the episode where Geppeto and Pinocchio are seen… AND Rumple and his son Bae interact…. so there could be a combination character or …. more RED HERRINGS are thrown out to give us more surprises.

You know what might happen: maybe we’ll see two father-son stories, one with Gepetto and Pinocchio in fairytale land, reuniting and being all happy together and then, a not-so-nice, father-son rivalry in Storybrooke with August and Mr. Gold.

Great theory obisgirl! I like it much more then the “Bae is Pinocchio” one. Can’t wait to see the sweet side of Rumple again. The pics of him and his son are very promising 😀

Plus I’m hoping this addresses some of the Belle withdrawal we’ve all been feeling- they said shed appear twice before the finale!
OMG! where did you get that info? I would love that Belle appears before the finale. I mean, we haven’t seen her since ep15 and it would be weirdly sudden to just see her in the finale. I’ve been looking at the imdb.com character appearance lists and didn’t find her in any ep between now and the finale though..

Maybe, they’re throwing SO many red herrings out on August’s identity because, it IS just so obvious that it should be Bae..the only person who knew about the dagger. Without all these red herring clues that point otherwise, there wouldn’t be so much speculation 😕
April 22, 2012 at 12:52 pm #143195SnickerdoodleParticipantSo, what if whoever August is working with told him about the dagger? What if August is Pinnochio and whoever is on the other end of the phone line is Bae? So, they are on a mission together. Bae tells August to find the knife and describes it to him. We know from Desperate Souls whoever holds the knife controls the Dark One. I don’t think Rumpel/Mr. Gold will like that. In the clip they showed he only telling Baelfire that to get rid of his power he had to be killed with that knife. I am wondering if he told him about the control issue as well?.

If Belle does indeed appear before the finale, it could be in this episode. In one of the sneek peeks Regina is p****d off at mr Gold because of Katheryn’s reappearance and Gold just seems to brush her off. Perhaps Regina pays a visit to Belle to cheer herself up with the fact that she has someone Gold loves hidden away and he doesn’t even know it.
All magic comes with a price!
