Anyone get the sense that this Dark Realm is like the antithesis of Neverland? The way Rumple described that anything is possible there is like how Malcolm said that anything was possible in Neverland. The main difference is that instead of time standing still, time apparently moves faster. I guess it furthers the comparisons between Rumple’s parents.

I was getting that, too. Yeah.

First, I thought the DO curse was darkness to end all darkness. Secondly, he has now all the power of the previous DOs plus his own (i.e. he is now the Ultimate! Dark One), so why would he not be able to go there?

I thought the same, but I guess that just because he has dark powers doesn’t mean that he would want to visit a Hellish place? It doesn’t exactly sound like it’s full of fun.

I really like that idea, although the way time works might not be as simple as moving faster, it could effectively exist outside of time, or just involve a completely different time logic. We don’t know if he is killing Emma because of a vision from the future for example, something that she is destined to do that he has been able to see in the darker realm. Or it may just be that he is going out assassinating Saviours (perhaps to leave “light” realms vulnerable to consumption by the dark realm?)

Maybe the “darker realm” could be Agrabah. (a) Agrabah had disappeared so that not even Jasmine could find it without Aladin’s genie help and (b) Gideon turned the Evil Queen into a cobra of sorts. In the Disney film, Jafar transformed into a serpent and had a snake staf.

What if the Black Fairy and Jafar are an evil power couple who took over Agraban? It just seems like those two narrative threads need to come together at some point, especially since Aladin said he’d be back (or something like that) in 6×10.

Well, I am just going to call this Dark Realm the Dark Chaos Realm. Chaos traditional equals bad, and order good, and Rumple description lends itself to a chaotic hell-scape.
