“Once Upon a Time” fans better get ready for the Outlaw Queen!
On Dec. 22, actress Lana Parrilla was kind enough to answer a few “OUAT” fan questions on Twitter, even though she was suffering from a cold. Her illness kept her from tweeting too much, but she did have something to say about Regina’s relationship with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).
One fan asked Lana what she thinks of Robin Hood being the (formerly) Evil Queen’s love interest, and the actress responded:
I think Regina finally found a “man” who can handle her!
So Robin Hood must be really, really stubborn. Unfortunately for Regina, it might be hard to win over a guy who spends his life robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. After all, she wasn’t too kind to the poor townsfolk (or anyone, for that matter) back when she ruled the Enchanted Forest. Fortunately, Regina might get a chance to prove that she’s not so bad—her magic could save everyone from the Wicked Witch. Robin also has a young son who might remind Regina of Henry. If she wins the young boy’s heart, then surely Robin will also warm up to her.
Sean Maguire was also on Twitter answering fan questions recently, and he was asked if he Sean Maguire was also on Twitter answering fan questions recently, and he was asked if he has a favorite scene with the Evil Queen. He wrote, “yes but I can’t tell you what it is. Bummer huh?” So is his scene with Outlaw Queen a romantic one or a confrontational one? It’s easy to imagine Regina and Robin butting heads quite a bit before they fall for one another. Lana told one fan that a lot of pre-love fights “would keep things interesting.” And when Maguire was asked about the one thing that he hopes that Robin brings out in Regina, he went ahead and listed two: fire and passion. It is definitely time for Regina to replace all her feelings of resentment, anger, and frustration with some good ol’ fashioned bodice ripper-style passion.
So are you hoping that Regina and Robin will have a rocky romance?
WR Response: Oh…can we just have Desperate Housewives type of steaming with these two! Pretty please…someone call Desperate Housewives directors for their scenes….!! THE FEELS!!!

The question she was responding to was about Robin specifically.

I can’t wait to see them interact. Back when we were purely speculating about Robin maybe ending up with Regina, one of the things I loved about the idea is that he’d be the kind of man who wouldn’t take any crap from her, and she needs a strong man like that who would challenge her, so I’m glad that seems to be the direction they’re going.
