There are many souls in the Underworld, all with unfinished business. If Operation Firebird is to succeed what sorts of business must those souls complete to be free?
Also, which soul did you most enjoy seeing?

I’m so, so glad we got to see Neal and what we saw was lovely, but he could have been a little more specific–he knows who he’s dealing with–and…I get why he might not come to Rumple but what about Henry? Henry NEEDS closure with his father. (And for the record, I’m still not buying the “no unfinished business” when Henry IS his unfinished business–he never got to see him, which was why he risked his life in the EF in the first place, what he wanted when he came back to Storybrooke and was denied…he and Henry deserve a moment together in this storyline somewhere. I will be angry if that never happens.)

Hmm. For Cora, it’s definitely something to do with reuniting Zelena and Regina and being a happy family. For Cruella….Idk…. For Blind Witch, I am also uncertain. If we were set to get an origin episode for her, I would say it has something to do with her past (why she is blind, why she eats kids, etc). Idk. Honestly, I cannot think of what unfinished business these people have.

That’s because “Unfinished bussiness” means nothing more than A&E had something to write for these characters and the actors were available.

How to complete the unfinished business of the characters that can’t move one?
-Cora: Making it up to Zelena, and helping to heal the rift between her two daughters.
-Peter Pan: I don’t think his business will ever be finished. He is still as selfish as ever. Not only that but he can exist forever in purgatory, and the only he wanted was to live forever so he already has his wish. I am confused as to why he was there, to be honest. I have no idea what is fate is going to be.
-Cruella: Another character who is nonredeemable (due to her being evil right from childhood) so again, she should be in Hell, not the Underworld/purgatory. Maybe there needs to be some kind of resolution between herself and her mother?
-Any lost souls that Regina killed in her pursuit of Snow, or for sport might need some kind of sacrifice from Regina. I don’t think the show would have them exact revenge on her, so how on earth otherwise is she going to save hundreds of souls in that amount of time? Failing that, I think she needs to somehow give back the hearts of those who are deceased so that they can move on. Not sure how those she killed through other methods would be saved, though. Perhaps some magic button will be pressed somewhere that will allow all the wandering souls to visit those they care about first (or allow them to have it out with someone) before moving on. Perhaps this magic button needs a dollop of hope to be pressed. Yey for the Magic Button of Hope!
I honestly think that this storyline will not be taken as far as it needs to go, especially as they still need to fit in more Oz, and more New Camelot. Hopefully we will get a RH backstory as well (one that explains why he insists he too has a dark past). I think one or two of the characters will be released from the Underworld via having had their business finished, and this will represent the others being saved as well.
One question to think about:
Let’s say that Emma’s plan to split her heart to save Hook works. Hook still needs replacing. Who is going to replace Hook? For every soul that is brought back to the land(s) of the living from the Underworld (or saved from it’s fate of entering the Underworld), another person must die. Will Rumple sacrifice himself , taking all of the Dark One’s curse with him?

I agree. Can people just go to Mount Doom (the fire pit) without having to spend time in Limbo? Because that’s where I would have thought Pan would be. He doesn’t really have any unfinished business because it doesn’t appear as though he’s learned any sort of lesson about the kind of man he was.

I think the logic here is that the cost of the Curse was killing the thing you love most. The loophole was, you could pay the cost then split a heart to revive the price. Well, Hook’s already paid the price–he’s dead. Emma wants to enact the loophole by bringing him back with half of her heart.
Why that requires going to the Underworld is the confusing part. And yes, you get into the issue of soul math which is different from price math.

March 7, 2016 at 2:38 pm #318252RumplesGirlKeymasterThere’s always a loophole….
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 7, 2016 at 6:13 pm #318294WickedRegalParticipantCora: Like @Onceaholic said, making amends with Zelena and healing her daughters relationship with each other is absolutely Cora’s unfinished business, which I suspect will be done in the Sisters Episode.
Peter Pan: I think Pan’s unfinished business is with Rumple, because Rumple didn’t have the best example on what type of man he needed to be, I think it’s Pan’s job to teach his son to own up to his mistakes, and basically be the father he was supposed to have been for Rumple. This will in turn help Rumple in his new walk to redemption.
The Blind Witch: I think that because Regina was the one who killed her…I think the Blind Witch’s unfinished business is with her. How she will resolve it, I’ve got no idea.
Cruella De Vil: Like the Blind Witch, Cruella was killed by Emma, who would be her unfinished business.
Milah: Her unfinished business would have to be with Rumplestilskin, probably to make amends with him over their past. Having his forgiveness could be what sets her free.
Liam: His unfinished business is with his brother, Hook, probably to help set him straight on a few things in his life.
Anyone else we’re missing?
