Disney’s Hunchback got away with a lot of things for a kids movie, like where Frollo grabs Esmerelda by her throat and sniff’s her hair or Phoebus’ exchange with Esmerelda when he says “I didn’t know you had a kid”. There was a Wizard of Oz reference in it though.
