Do spoilers diminish your viewing pleasure
OR
Do spoilers just wet your appetite for more???
I am wondering this because I did see a lot of spoilers/ ciip for Dreamy and I was kind of disappointed in the show when I actually saw it. The clips showed Leroy/ Grumpy knocking out the lights and was one of the more important moments in the show. Knowing that he was going to do that allowed me to figure out in advance what the show would entail. I watched knowing what was going to happen and I kept thinking to myself… come on all ready lets move this story along.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON SPOILERS?
I need to conduct an experiment with myself and NOT LOOK for previews / spoilers and see if I like future shows better…. LIKE THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

I’m the person who gets a new book and reads the last page before I start to read the book. I get addicted to searching for the spoilers. For me it’s kind of like going somewhere on a road trip – getting there is half the fun! And I love trying to theorize what is going to happen and you need spoilers and teasers for that. I will say that I don’t always watch the clips though. I think I get what I need from reading about what is going to happen in the written spoilers. Maybe you should stick with only the written spoilers. That way you won’t feel like you have already watched part of the show but you will still have the fun of knowing what is going to happen.

I actually am really glad that i knew that Dreamy was going to be a kind of silly episode before i saw it. It made me be okay with it. If i thought it was going to be an epic episode then i would have found it pretty disappointing, but going in i knew it was going to be that sort of episode so that helped.

I do watch the preview for the next week’s episode, but I try hard to avoid everything else (which is why I really appreciate it when people are careful to keep spoilers out of general discussion). I love what I call those Twilight Zone moments (“It’s a cookbook!!!!!”) for which LOST was so famous. I managed to stay unspoiled for almost all of the big ones and was able to get the full impact that the producers, writers, actors, composer, etc. put into that one OMG 😯 moment. I am trying to do the same for OUaT.

Knowing that you shouldn’t expect too much of something can be quite good. It’s very easy to get disappointed and knowing what’s coming you can appreciate the parts you might have overlooked if you saw it for the first time and focused on the “wrong” things.

But I follow countless OUAT communities on livejournal through my google reader, and a lot of OUAT tumblrs, so it’s often hard for me when I login at work to “not” read stuff.
Ksitetv.com has a lot of OUAT spoilers. They do reviews of all the episodes, the day after it premieres, and I don’t watch usually until Tuesday evening with my boyfriend. So, between Sunday-Tuesday, I try to stay away from spoilers. But it also depends on how busy I am at work. If I’m really busy, I don’t have time to check out what’s on my tumblr.
