Personally, I do. I haven’t had a favorite character until now. There are so many ways this character can be complicated, evolved, and used. To not do that, seems like would be a huge waste. The writers have a whole play room full of possibilities with him. I believe he should be kept on the show for at least, another season-or-two.
To you, the reader: What do you think?

And for heavens sake, not too many more new characters then what they’ve got now. Let them please concentrate on making the ones they’ve got good.I’m pretty sure the writers have an interesting story to tell about Hook but once it’s told, i don’t see why he should stick around.
Honestly, if he continues to get darker and darker (which it looks like he will) I want him to stay. The show lost both main antagonists in one swoop (feels that way) so we need someone like Hook in the mix. However, I’m hoping for Barrett to be the next BIG VILLAIN – worse even than Cora.
Definitely. As long as he is dark and evil, and charming. A good story needs a brilliant villain, and Hook has some potential. Okay, maybe some season later they can give even him a chance to redeem himself, but for now most certainly prefer his dark sides to shine on the show, and to do so for a while longer. 😈

Hook if by far my favourite character! I love how he is unpredictable, and i LOVE the build up between him and Emma. Colin is an amazing actor. Hook has made me love this show even more!

I guess it might be too much like Buffy the Vampire Slayer in that every year there’s a new big bad/bads to overcome. Maybe the final season, they could have the villains unite or something big like that.
I thought that’s what they’re doing now, well mostly since I think Regina and/or maybe even Rumple, could pop again as the main villain some season. Anyhow, I’m all for Hook becoming darker and darker at least this season, but next season, I wouldn’t mind having a new villain or villains again and having Hook be shipped off somewhere except maybe a few times a season. I agree though that Barrett looks to be the next big villain, but I wonder if we’ll actually see that this year, or if they’ll wait to next season to do so.

All these villains popping in from the sides. I thought one of the main ideas of the show was to show it isn’t black and white your not either the hero or the villain. I guess it’s a matter of perspektive 🙂
But I think they should keep the ones they’ve already got. And then maybe make some of the good guys more suspicious. The BIG BAD isn’t that maybe the use of magic… ???I wasn’t sure if I liked Hook in the beginning but he’s starting to grow on me now (especially after writing lots of Emma & Hook fanfiction lately). I do hope he sticks around for a bit. And it is very 😆 😆 to see him bound up in every other episode. Last episode was the fourth time, I think. 😆
