Imma just throw this out here: is it possible you can only use the wand for good intentions? 

Hmm, well this could explain Maleficents staff. Perhaps wands wont work for Dark Fairies so they use staffs instead?

I don’t believe that Robin Hood and Marian used the wand to come A Land Without Magic. If realm-jumping were as simple as waving a magic wand, then the Blue Fairy could have used her wand to send Snow White, Prince Charming and Emma to A Land Without Magic. There would have been no need for Geppetto to carve a wardrobe from an enchanted tree.

We know from recent spoilers that Robin Hood is still stranded in present-day Enchanted Forest and living in Rumple’s Dark Castle of all places. Why would Robin Hood have remained behind without Marian? If Marian did indeed come to our world, she left Robin Hood behind for some reason. My guess is that Marian may have used a portal similar to the magic wardrobe, but maybe this particular portal really could only take one. So, Marian, heavy with child, came to A Land Without Magic, where she gave birth to Tamara.
