Okay so I just got into Doctor Who recently (The Newer ones) and I was wondering, for any Doctor Who fans out their which ONCE character do you think would make a good companion for the Doctor, also which Doctor would you pare them up with (Especially if your into classic Who).
For me 10 th Doctor: Would get Rumple, Belle, Ruby, Henry and Emma
9th Doctor would get Regina, Granny, Emma (Again) and Neal.
Don’t know enough about 11 yet to make a good judgment.
[adrotate group="5"]February 28, 2014 at 8:59 pm #248977RumplesGirlKeymasterAlright. Let’s see.
Well the 1st Doctor was a bit of a grouch old grandfather. He’d have no problem being sarcastic with you but he could also be incredibly kind. For him I choose Archie. They’d balance each other out, which is important in DW
2nd Doctor (a personal favorite) could be really scatterbrained. He he came off often as a bit of a buffoon. But he also followed his own rules, hence why the Time Lords force-ably regenerated him. He needs someone who is good with planning and has a strong tolerance for hijinks. I give him Ruby and Granny.
3rd Doctor was the quintessential early 1970s dramatic action hero. He wore a cape and was a theatrical but could also beat you up. He was stuck on earth for a really long time so you need someone who is okay with not going to different place and times 24/7. A homebody maybe? But someone who can get their hands dirty. I choose The Knave of Hearts for him.
4th Doctor (the best. Done) was everything you want in a Doctor–quirky and quick witted and fun and moral and altogether strange. He represents the best of Doctor Who. His companions were also the most diverse, from Sarah Jane who would challenge him to Leela who a student to his special relationship with Romana (1 and 2). 4th Doctor had a lot of flash to him. I think he needs someone who can match that. I choose Rumple for him.
5th Doctor was the youngest Doctor until the regenerated series. He was very human, loved cricket and like a big older brother. He had very few maliciousness about him. I would call him the least dark. Because of that, I think he needs a companion who is a bit spicier. Someone who can poke and prod him into action. I choose Regina for him.
6th Doctor is often labeled as the evil doctor, but really he was very egotistical but still knew his duties as Savior of the Universe. He could be violent and harsh. But he never faltered in his protection of the universe. I think he needs someone who could temper his more harsh tendencies. I choose Snow and Charming for him.
7th Doctor was more of the professor type. His main companion, Ace, was like a beloved daughter or student to him. I think he needs someone that he can mold. I choose Henry for him.
8th Doctor was full of life. He was fascinated by the stars and life and shoes! But he was also born in blood and battle and died in blood and battle. He made hard choices. He had a sense of honor and dignity and strength. He loved doing the rescuing thing. I choose Hook for him.
9th Doctor was a troubled soul with too many bad memories. He wanted to loose himself. He wanted to get away from it all and never face his past. He was a runner. He was haunted by the war and his demons. I choose Neal for him.
10th Doctor as a new soul. He was the lonely god who had lost too much but could never forget them. He knew he would always loose those he loved because that was his fate. He felt his years with every breathe. But that didn’t stop him from being a hero. It was a hard path, but he knew what had to do. I choose Emma for him.
11th Doctor was older than his years but chose to behave as a child. He wanted to find delight in the universe again because he forgot how to see it. He formed close bonds to those he chose to protect and at became unhinged at the idea of loosing them. I choose the 7 dwarves for him.

March 1, 2014 at 7:06 am #249108PriceofMagicParticipantI’ve only seen Doctor Who from the 9th Doctor onwards so I’ll just do those 3 Doctors.
9th Doctor Tinkerbell
10th Doctor Emma
11th Doctor Belle
The Doctor always tends to choose a female companion.
All magic comes with a price!

March 1, 2014 at 12:16 pm #249161timespacerParticipantGreat compilation by Rumple’s Girl! There’s no way I can improve upon that but I’ll offer a few ideas.
Since the First Doctor had such a mentoring relationship with young Susan, I’d suggest Henry for him (also because I think Jared Gilmore bears a slight resemblance to Carole Ann Ford.)
Zoe was one of the most intellectual companions for the Second Doctor, so I’d suggest Archie as a companion for the Second Doctor, given Archie’s academic background (even if he did get his Ph.D. from a curse!)
Hook’s military background makes me think of him as a companion for the Third Doctor, in place of The Brigadier.
No one mentioned K-9! The Fourth Doctor has to get Pongo as a substitute for K-9.
That’s all I can think of for now.

I’d like to see some of the once gang go up against the Doctor’s enemies, like the Daleks, or The Master, or Davros! Especially Davros!
October 1, 2014 at 6:00 pm #283927FelieParticipantI’d like to see Emma having to deal with yet ANOTHER seemingly impossible thing being thrown at her (i.e. the Whoniverse).
But I think they’d most likely go for;
1) Christopher Eccleston – Red, Neal, Jefferson <b style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.3999996185303px; background-color: rgb(249, 249, 249);”>
2) David Tennant – Anna, Mulan, Alice & Cyrus,
3) Matt Smith – Anna, Tink, young Zelena
4) Peter Capaldi – Belle, Elsa, Will & Ana
The one I’d like to see them deal with though is Regina! Couldn’t you just picture them trying to do Doctory things with her as their companion XD
"so there’s this new show….."
"there’s lesbians in it"October 3, 2014 at 6:24 pm #284134prince_grantParticipantI think RumplesGirl so far has each one to a T. She even noticed traits about the Time Lords that flew over most heads! For example, most fans seem to think of the Eighth Doctor as the kiss-Doctor, but he was the hyperactive Doctor, the wide-eyed explorer Doctor, the honorable soldier Doctor, and the “Punisher” Doctor who was a moral absolutist and therefore one of the most dangerous to the Daleks. She also noted that not only does the Sixth Doctor have a repuation as the evil Doctor, but also notes that the Sixth Doctor was still a dutiful type (if anything, the “Evil Doctor” would be the Seventh Doctor or the Twelfth Doctor, if one chooses to forget the War Doctor and the Valeyard, and the Seventh has been beautifully cast with the innocent Henry, to contrast the less-than-innocent Seventh Doctor) Of course, now we have the War Doctor and the Twelfth Doctor. Let’s not forget the Valeyard either. But the rest were so well-cast I’m not sure.
