Does Rob Kay / peter pan make it to the next half of the season after the hiatus? Just wondering if they finally defeat him… Wondering if ROBBY KAY is playing PAN in EPISODE 12 ?
I have been hearing crazy rumors and trying to uncover the truth.

Robbie is most likely not appearing in the second half of the season (especially since we have a new villain played by Rebecca Mader). The only time he will probably appear is in flashbacks.

Yeah, judging by the pics, he’s pretty much almost certainly gonna die. I mean, they switched the actor for Malcolm into the scene when Rumple’s in the middle of stabbing Pan, so it looks like Pan’s gonna lose his magic, revert to being old, then die.

He’s been brilliant, they really have an asset in Robbie Kay and his fan following, so I really hope they do bring him back in the future to shoot some more flashbacks. I’m guessing that might be why they haven’t shown all of the history of the NL characters yet, specifically so that they can bring back Pan, even after they kill him off.

Especially with Robbie’s character – it would be a bit odd if he suddenly looked more mature and filled out yet was playing a guy who is supposed to have never grown up. Depending on the dialogue it could end up being an epic fail.
But that is one super talented kid for sure! Being able to have scenes with Robert Carlyle and simply OWN them is not an easy task.

He’s fantastic, but I don’t want them to over use PP either or else we might start going “gee…when are they gonna deal with PP already? Shouldn’t be THAT hard to defeat him!”
It’s like if Cora had stuck around for all of S2, we might have started wondering when they’d just do away with her.
However I think there is a lot more to explore with PP and our main cast, like Hook. I’m hopeful for flashbacks

He might always have a slight frame but it would be pretty funny if it ended up that he was just a late bloomer (quite a few guys are) and we ended up with a weird overgrown man-child version of Peter Pan who is taller and bigger than the guys he is supposed to be doing the flashbacks with!!

Defeat and death aren’t the same thing, though. Villains can be defeated without dying, as one can see from American superhero comics. Pandora’s box could’ve been used for this purpose, but instead they chose to rush another big evil plot for Pan and now the story has come to a point where his death is inevitable for the arc to come to an end. 🙁

Oh absolutely. But, to play Devil’s advocate, if they HAD gone the route of Pandora’s box over killing PP, the questions of “will we ever see Pan again?” “Will someone open the box?” “Can pan ever get out himself?” “Why haven’t we heard about the box?” will never stop. And when the show ends in a year or two, if those questions are never revisited fans will never stop asking (I’m looking at you LOST).
So, this isn’t meant to be callous, but from a storytelling perspective, death is cleaner because it seems to be absolute.
Unless you’re the Blue Fairy 😉
